Nerf War/Event calendar

I'm proposing to have some kind of stickied thread under the Nerf War section, which would be able to be updated by mods only. It would be a calendar that would highlight any important upcoming events, especially wars, which is specific to Nerf only.

Other events would include such things as live streams or big important sales from retail outlets but it would mainly be for nerf wars. It wouldn't be hard to maintain and if we're going to indeed make this site a home for nerf, this is a necessity. I strongly oppose using this calendar for personal sales of any kind, so if some moderator starts putting up his ebay auctions on there, I would consider that a gross misuse of this calendar.

This site has to become more than what it is now. The sport's growing and this site needs to grow with it.

that is a good idea, what I would like to do, if it is ok, is add to that proposal and suggest having sub forums for each state or game type in the nerf wars forum so it can be organised a little better.

I think this is a fantastic idea. If you don't mind going offsite, How about a google calendar with each state in a different colour (and perhaps events like sales, live streams in another colour too)? Moonsword's idea is simple and effective, but in the interim, we could also just stick the state at the front of each thread name:

[VIC] Doomsday at ...
[SA] Adelaide War
...

I like the idea. As well as that, make sure every event is linked to it's own thread, for rsvp and discussion purposes.

Good idea man, although im not sure we would be seeing many nerf wars here in Perth... Not much of a community over here from what i gather on this site...

I'll do it, but I won't be using Google calendars for it. Much too complicated for me to handle right now.

The first draft should be up tonight in the "Nerf Wars" Section.
Keep an eye out for it.
