I think that it will have a detachable barrel (by the pic). Referring to my previous thread about wii guns.....Ha! Sorry. As you can see these are not poor computer generated pics.

"IF" longshots are supposed to be sold here soon, These possibly will be too. I think there'll be very little space in the back of that for a good 'regular' type plunger. (as opposed to a crappy recon/raider type plunger)

If it's crappy like the raider, it WILL be sold on shelf here.

As with the longshots being here, i'll beleive it when i see it for myself.

Love the general look of it.
It's great how it has clip storage on the sides of the stock.
I am so glad nerf has made this as it looks like one of my fav sniper rifles.

If it is coming to America, in my view this will be available for the rest of the world. From what information I gather while I was talking with the hasbro guys during the Nerf Tourament in Singapore,they will be bringing in a new nerf blaster to Singapore every three months. And keep your fingers cross, I heard that they may be bringing in Rapidfire 20 in Singapore at next year.

Already they upheld their promise by bringing in the Element-EX blaster which is around $49.90 Sgd. Oh! 1 more comfirmed news from hasbro officials.... apparently the titan is now NOT in production.

That's good news, because post from Singapore to Australia isn't expensive in comparison to America which make any new guns Australia doesn't get still possible to get.

It would be nice if Hasbro would organise their product lines better, worldwide releases on a product should be possible in a business that size.

Sad news about the titan I spent weeks trying to find one around here I found a stack bought two and now they'll probably never be seen again.

Nerf or Nothing

On Nerf Haven their is speculation that it is a reverse plunger. I hope it will be accepted because of the weakness of a reverse plunger.

All future guns like this will probably be reversed plunger, the recon and raider internal are near identical, reason being it costs less to produce the same internals so many millions of times. The more they do it the cheaper it gets and they don't have to spend more money on new plastic molds and designs etc. So I think the internals will be recon/raider internals and by the looks of things the clip system is still the same.

If you look at the picture though. Their is a priming handle similar to the longshot.

I hate the name.

gonna be some difficulty with initials ie. LS longshot LS longstrike we need an idea maybe LSh for longshot and LSt for longstrike? and i know chaos blades said this earlier but it was brought up again. The guys at NH are probably right look how far the cocking handle comes towards the back of the gun the plunger would have to protrude out of the back similar to raider or recon but its not a certainty we will have to wait until some higher detail pics are released. Though, if it is a reverse plunger it will be in australia faster than a good old LS plunger and the sooner i get that awesome looking gun the happier i'll be.

does it look abit out of proportion to you guys? like the clip cant be long enough to align with the faux barrel?

I think the gun looks sweet, and my verdict is still out on the plunger type.. reverse seems likely but they claim 35ft and that would be hard with raider internals....

However I dont like this gun at the moment... Because it's encouraging losering.. I mean sniping (ppl who arn't members at NH probs wont get this)

Every little 12 yr old kid thinks he's going to be the 133t 5N1P3r with this gun when in reality a) the gun wont shoot far enough to accomplish this and b) sniping is possibly the stupidest tactic in nerf. EVER. Of All TIME.. geddit kids? I'd stop jizzing your pants and go out and single a Big Blast if you want some long range action.

Some people on nerf haven dont understand your logic on alot of things. I completly agree with you but I Just want it cause its new.

snipering is possible, IF you can convice your friends to let you play with a home made air gun that gets over 300 feet but thats not so easy to do, I know, I tried. It ended with me being shot in the balls with my own gun from 30 feet away.

on subjct however, I'm thinking that it can't have a recon/ raider plunger and achieve 35 feet. I'm thinking it might be differnt to both the recon and the longshot. Not in terms of basic design, but in size.

I know how they got 35 feet. they angled it the cheating bastards.

Looks like a revamp of a Longshot shell to me. Perhaps they realized people thought the longshot shell was massive for the internals, or that the foregun was useless and thought they could dupe us by making the same gun in a different package? Nah, Nerf would never do that.....

Seriously, this just looks like a longshot remake to me. If that barrel extension comes off though, it could make for a very nice gun. Not as good in a rush as a Raider, or as good at range as a longshot, but perhaps an all rounder (gotta be better than the Recon surely...)

You'd keep LS for longshot, just so you're not confusing people. And you'd use LST Or Lstrike for the longstrike.

so true if you ask me it looks like a dressed up longshot, i looked at your youtube vids and is your recon any good? because im thinking of getting one

I just recieved a goodie bag from K-mart which contained a Vulcan and a Recon. I noticed that the Vulcan's instruction manual had attached to it a Nerf catalogue. Curious I cut open the bag and discovered it had the Longstrike in the catalogue. Here pictures from the "Australian" version.



I know it's just a picture of the catalogue (It's actually a flip out brochure *wears monocle*) but it's in Australia so I thought it might be relevant. Pictures copywright Foam Militia ... Ha ha ha, just kidding.

Foam did kmart send your cataloge or did you go to Kotara (or for me Kottahra.)

It was with the vulcan i bought. Hasbro (technically) gave it to me. Kmart didnt put it in as an "aftermarket" brochure.

To be honest, everyone is saying how shit it is or how good this gun is going to be. Wow you've seen the externals, it must be good or bad then. Seriously, for those who are saying "omg this is going to be epic" and "wow what a waste of money",you have no idea. Im sorry but i just think everyone is assuming way too much. All im saying is just wait, if its does shoot good range, awesome but I wouldnt go round saying things cause you could be very disappointed
