ok so i learnt (from Door_beatle's dad) that if you like making model planes you can put some natural cloth (cotton) and cover it in epoxy (areldite) so it soaks it up making a type of fiberglass he used it on high stress areas as it is extremely strong, thin and light. i figured you could apply this to nerf guns as we tried to Door-beatles gun.

    so basically:
    -put epoxy on the area
-smother expoy on a small pice of cloth
    - put the cloth onto the area
    -apply pressure so it flattens
-leave it for however long it was for the epoxy to dry (3 days ect.)
    - then file is down to shape or thickness whatever

NOTE: you can't file it allot becuase it would weaken

Note to anyone who is thinking of using this method for repairs:
DO NOT use this method to fix internals, this method is only good for fixing things which will not be under much stress. This method should be fine for fixing gun bodies though

Yeah it did, it's strong but not strong enough to deal with the impact

    Type of composite material

Hmm, good idea! Although i don't know how rigid it would be... i have noticed a bit of flex in areldite and thats in really small amounts, and we are talking about using it over a huge span (compared to what it was designed for) and it would be the main stiffener.

Do give it a try and test it out.

Man, its ideas like this which make me wish we had a wiki.

Your next post better be properly punctuated or your banned. Got it?
