Picked this up at Kmart for $1 off the clearance trolley. They fire soft foam balls about 20ft using a push pull action. The mechanism is very simple but different to most push pulls. You don't push the air directly into the balls, but away from them into the back wall, which 'rebounds' and goes through this tiny hole in the plunger head.
Anyway, onto the mod. Sorry if it is a bit half-assed, I only started taking pics halfway through.
Here it is stock:
First, undo all the screws and tear off the handles (they are glued on)
Next, take the plunger head out and and cover the hole on the end with hotglue.
Drill a hole through the back 'rebound' wall just big enough to squeeze a barrel in. Then glue the barrel inline with the wall, in order to not create deadspace.
Grab the handle with the fake trigger guard and dremel the back wall flat. You'll see why in a second.
Now put the handle on backwards and assemble the gun... backwards. Put the second handle where it feels comfortable to you. Now load up a dart and fire.
In case you don't understand what I have done, I've changed it from firing balls from the front off the gun, with about 30cm deadspace in between the air source and the ball, to a direct dart firing system, firing darts from the back off the blaster. If it still to hard to understand, go buy one form Kmart and then you'll get it.
I kept the balls in the 'tank' as they may be useful for FFP?
Ranges vary on how hard you can pull the plunger but I can get it up to around 65ft.
