After ordering SGNerf's Stampede mod kit, 4x Trustfire 14500 Batteries, Charger, Reflex sight and Tac Vest online. Today was the capstone of my purchases: the Stampede itself. I also picked up a 4x AA battery sled from Jaycar and visited a TERRIFIC military disposal and camping store, picking up some top quality BDU Pants.
Let me tell you about "Jeff's Camping and Disposals" located in Canterbury Road, Lakemba, run by Jeff and his son Ali who are among the kindest men I've come across and have excellent customer service. Their shop is jam-packed full of stock, many types of military clothing and camping gear. I wanted to buy some BDU Pants and Jeff found my exact size and let me try on some woodland camo pants, great I loved them I asked how much and he said, how many pairs do I want, lucky for him I wanted two in fact, I wanted an "Urban" camo (see pics below), he sells each pair of pants for $49, he gave me two pairs for $70, however my weekly pay was stuffed up and I could only afford one pair, he said come back next week and get the other, I'll give one pair to you for $35. I told Jeff about what I would be using the pants for: Paintball and Nerf, he was captivated by this "Nerf" brand and and was keen to learn more, lucky for him I had my new Stampede still in the box in the car outside, along with some D batteries, I brought it inside, unboxed it, threw the batteries in and introduced him to the wonderful world of Nerf, he was beside himself with happiness. To all Sydney Nerfers, I STRONGLY recommend you take a trip to Jeff's as I guarantee you won't be disappointed, just tell him you're from Oznerf and Reece sent you, he will undoubtedly remember the day that young man showed him that automatic Nerf gun and instantly give you a great deal.
Today has been a great day and my friend Dan is keen to also get into Nerf and came along today and he was also very impressed with Jeff and his son Ali. Have a look below at my new acquisitions, the Stampede, 4x AA Battery sled, Woodland BDU Pants and a picture in the store of the Urban BDU Pants I will get next week. Also see a picture of Jeff's business card for those that are interested, again I strongly urge you to take a look!
