    Hey Guys n Girls..

Just found this forum while searching google for a fix on my Recon.

My name is Wayne, 29 from Thornton (Newcastle way) and my son Jackson (6) and we play Nerf all the time in the back yard, we love it and are slowly getting more and more into it (below is our small arsenal) all had the usual AR removal mod but thats about it..the Recon lasted about 5 shots after i (slightly) stretched the spring...plunger tube had the ass blown outta it, so now looking for a fix
The 2 Buzzbees pretty much suck, so any mods on them?
Any thoughts/suggestions etc on further mods would be greatly appreciated.

Cant wait to surf the threads, just thought id say hi first.

    Wayne & Jackson

you might want to pad the plunger when you replace it

i have a longstrike its good but the same thing applies pad your plunger will stop it from braking.

if you want long distance shooting get a longshot but the long strike is much more sexy

Yeah matt.chopper was right basically every gun you pad the plunger the same way. What it does is provides a cushion to abosorb the impact so whenever you pad your next plunger imagen the gun working in your head and you will auotomatically see where it needs padding lol. Also, you will learn very quickly that those buzzbee's are not very good lol.

    welcome anyway....

lol, yeah we found that, although it shot better than my Mav before AR removal. When we started getting into Nerf (chrisy last year) there was very little available in shops around Newcastle, so we bought what we could and made do. Its a shame the shotgun is a POS cause it looks and feels so damn good lol

Now this is the fine line area.the only bad thing about this site is you will get yelled at for asking a newbie question, even if you are a nebie because it clogs up the forum with crappy threads. Me, personally i am quite happy use asked us here because it means you didnt make another thread about it. But yeah basically if you havent already read the rules... read them it will stop you from being banned. Also just its better to search around and do your own research instead of being "lazy" and justt asking a newbie question.

But once again i dont care, just some people do. Now onto the question lol.

we can't answer that because it depends what you like. Belive me what you like now will completely change after you go to a nerf war. I comes down to these few points.

    - comfort
    - rate of fire (ROF)
    - modding capabilities
    - your moding capabilities
    - the amount of money you are willing to spend
    - your physical stature E.G if you were small and skinny lugging around a vulcan all day is a waste of energy
    - your talents. E.G if your a fast person then be w light equiped person and rush the team so you would have handguns and a triple shot or what not.
    - availability
    - if buying online then shipping cost
    - your style of play E.G if your the next rambo, then your not going to bother with a nite finder.

Personally, i think a good start off weapon for a older person, as they are too big for smaller children, is just a longshot. Reletively easy to mod. Stock they are crap, modded i am getting 30 metre ranges with mine. They are a good alround weapon.

Basically if you have ANY problems just send me a private message. I am happy to answer any question, not matter how newbi or stupid it is and it doesnt result in you getting yelled at for creating a useless post.

Maitland and Waratah Kmarts are the best places around here, they have the biggest range to choose from

Yeah for sure, i bought most of mine from Maitland..but this time last year there was very little anywhere..i think from memory Glendale K-Mart was the best place to find anything.
