Yeah I might buy one, it looks like a really fun gun. Might use a couple for 'nerf at night' if I ever get around to organizing it.

Glow in the dark is cool if gimmicky, but I am all over that bullpop design, really cool form factor and worst case can try to stick an air tank in there for a nice bullpop sniper :p

On the box, it says "Clip charges 18 glow darts" not sure what it means, but i think that has something to do with the clip needing batteries to somehow "Charge" the darts.
Otherwise, looks like Nerf has taken some of our idea on clip feed barricades. Maybe they have decided to listen to us for once.

The dark glow in the dark same as the Firefly (as stated on the box)... with the battries is simply mean that on the inside of the clip will have L.E.D's.

I see, I never owned a firefly =( always wanted to get one. but yes, I guess the LED's will be a nice addition to the looks for the blaster =)

It would be good if you provide a link please. It's just courtesy for the ones who go out of their way to provide us information. Thanks. Even if it has the 'link' on it. Some of us like reading the articles.

This does however add more proof that it will be a flywheel blaster (not that there was much doubt anymore)

    MOAR PICS

AND YOU SAID BULLPUP WAS IMPOSSIBLE, Nerf answered with this!

You can still see the N-Strike logos and the use of the orange and grey accents. By the looks of the button under the trigger, it will be a similar mechanism as the Vortex Nitron to activate/operate the blaster meaning it will be battery operated.

below is Neil holding a Rayven CS-18 given to him by pocket at urban taggers.

oh wow. been following this on urban taggers, but every time i see a new pic i like it even more. it's dying for a repaint though, maybe with a recon barrel, chop out the bit between the base of the grip and the stock, and a 6 dart clip it could look like an SRS rifle... only... semi auto not bolt action...

Extend the front a bit, add a front grip and it will look like an f88.

The gun has quite a bit of barrel being bullpup and all so it can still have nice form factor while having decent range an accuracy with an air tank, the problem will be fitting one in.

Otherwise I can't see it being to fantastic out of the box (being flywheel and all)

Clipfed Rayven won't work very well with airtanks. You'll need to have at least two 90 degree elbows poking out of the shell if the tank is back to front, or a vinyl tube if it's orientated frontwards in the regular fashion. This means deadspace.

If you go with the backwards airtank (correct me if i'm wrong) you'll need to convert the trigger pull into a push to operate the valve, because the firing valve will be backwards too.

An airtank similar to (but obviously larger than) a SSPB would work since the valve mechanism could be easily levered from the front or back.

Is it just me or this guy looks like he shouldnt' be posing with a Nerf Blaster by himself...

    Which reminds me

    http://urbantaggers.blogspot.com/2011/10/nerf-rayven-cs-18-test-videos-youtube.html

Range Tests. Showing it can up to 40 metres. I still stand by the fact that if it doesn't shoot through cardboard, it's not good enough. Lol.

You leave my "boss" alone....I had a go with the 16 or 14 volt rayven today. It was great, hits great ranges all though a bit crazy with streamlines. But let me tell you this thing is light as, it feels lighter than a nightfinder....it was just crazy.

Suffice to say, it does look well cool. Very keen for the soon to surface internal photos...

Haha such a suck up. Just sayin'. I don't think I'd pose like that in a photo by myself and put it all over the internet if I'm still interested in Nerf at that age. It would have to be a group photo for sure.

Saw some footage of the 'battle test'. Seems crap. Lol, it's a spray and pray gun, you may as well get a more reliable stampede, even if it might 'cheaper' to get a rayven, the stampede still wins as you can spray and pray and the darts actually go straight (if you're using stingers / heavy tips).

Haha. The performance the video made it look useless. It sure convinced me in that aspect =).

Loud and floppy accuracy. Indoor war would be much better, but outdoor well, have fun with that.
