I dont see why the gun would be surrounded in a white border in the picture on the box - Possible Lame photoshop or maybe it could just be the style ?

These things are real boy. They were at that toy fair thing in the US.

This is a good site for these sort of things: http://urbantaggers.blogspot.com/

Oh, about the vortex series, I have been told by a certain business owner, that they are disk shooters.

or you could just take 2 minutes and watch my unboxing vid (which has been around some time ago) of this on youtube where i show you the box on both sides... for proof that it's real.

What is your channel i'm interested in seeing this.
I had never seen them before and was just wondering why they were surrounded in white.

Not sure that I like the intergrated clip it will take longer to reload instead of just swapping mags but it looks promising with a 16 dart capacity.

    Psyk's Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/psyk

anyway, the reason why the white boarder is there is because most of the backgorund is black, and mabey about half of the gun is to, so it is to make the picture stand out more. Also, because it is the larger picture, your eyes are attracted to it even easier with the white boarder than without it.

In lame mans terms: It makes it look better

    Double Drum?!

Post  Nerph on Sat Mar 19, 2011 9:25 am

I just realized, it seems that this 50 dart drum is going to replace the 3 18 dart clips and 1 6 dart clip that comes included with the gun.
Then WHERE do we get 18 dart clips? D:

Nerph, that is old news. It was presumed to be a preproduction model but never made into production. It is known as the "scrotum drum mag".

Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble but that was brought up a bit before christmas IIRC and quickly quashed by hasbro as a pre-production model.

Sorry if I interpret the term "pre-production mode" as a prototype but the term you use leads me to think this might come out in the future or is the term pre-production model used in the context of, "we prototyped it and now we've decided to abandon it?

Personally, I welcome the idea of 50-dart double-drum magazine!

Yeah, the "double drum" was made as a prototype, but it was far too expensive to produce, unfortuanantly.
Also, psyk has a mod video on the quick 16. It is a PAIN to get that gun apart, lemme tell you without even doing it.

This thread needs some loving. As you know the X-Shot has released some pretty poor crap, (except for the Stealth - however reports from gooni and unknown, the plunger rod seems to easily snap even with a stock spring -> which leads to repair or reinforcement). I foudn this from UT (urban taggers). There's one I especially want :D.

Basically the new Stealth, but now called Duel as seen in the pictures above. It shoots discs and darts instead of water and darts. Cool new feature I reckon. Looks more easily holstered or fitted in your pocket too.

I want the above one. It looks like an extremely beefy furyfire with 20shots rather than 10. In the diagram the pump handle seems fairly short (which leads me to believe it may have a fairly small plunger, but hopefully it's direct). I reckon this should of been one of the new "Dart Tag" blasters that came out since the ease of use would of been the main factor of it all. I'm definitely going to get one of these when they pop in K-mart.

    Thoughts or opinions?

I REALLY want a turbo fire, I don't really care about ranges as long as I can shoot my sister with it

    A HvZ gun perhaps?

Had exactly the same thoughts as you about the Turbo-Fire. Looks awesome and could work quite well, but the short amount of travel for priming it makes me wonder. If the scale on that first pic is right, then the slide travels ~1.5 inches.

If the TurboFire is like the Stealth (really good seal, good spring) then it should get slightly less ranges (turret-plunger seal). Hopefully X-Shot learns from Nerf and makes the seal good.

just by looking at the picture of the turbo fire, it looks like the plunger draw is very minute.

Are X-Shot the ones that shoot water as well as darts? Obviously not these ones, but the ones already in Kmart.

You'd have to chop part of the shotgun grip to make use of a longer plunger though if that picture is correct and it does have about a 1.5" travel.

Unless you want to prime it like you would a Nitefinder, which would be quite ridiculous.

it's the same case with the furyfire. its faux barrel looks quite long, but you don't even use the whole length to prime it back

At least the faux barrel is extremely wide. That was what kind of hindered the AT and Raider was how narrow and long the faux barrel was (AT still performs fairly well).

Also looking at that digitally created human being with the gun, it looks like it'll be quite a sizeable gun. the 20 turret looks more like in the size of the old Tommy 20 than a Ultimate Rapid blast i.e. fat and round.

Yeah cut down the grip, I thought that, but I didn't say it because it would make the gun un-comfortable
and i looks like it could fit a huge plunger tube.

There's dimensions on how big the gun is in the pictures by the way.
