I've just heard that they are expecting flooding in ipswich in the next 12ish hours.
The transmitter is down. The mayor sent out a message on channel 9. If your house was affected by the 1974 floods get out now.

I thought I'd relay that seeing as there are a few ipswich guys here.

ABC radio is a good sourcde of info at this point in time, Im already staying at my parents place as I live with in the withcott/blanchview area.

So heres my quote for the day, "Water, water everywhere thank f**k I have scotch to drink"."

But seriously, listen to the radio and TV for your information, besides Ipswitch there are now around 30 suburbs in brisbane getting warnings of flooding, lots of road closures around. if you can, stay home, only leave home if you have to.

and DO NOT try to cross flooded roads, we have had 8 deaths in toowoomba so far with this weather.

On a less serious note, enjoy 1 less admin.

I'm sure the people living there already know this info but it never hurts to have an extra source of info out there.

    Be safe guys.

Alot of properties trashed around Ippy, but alot more are safe. The loss was horrible for those who did lose property or posessions, or, in the case of a few their lives and loved ones, but it could have been much much worse. Ipswich will peak by tonight, and with a bit of luck, it'll be safe to travel late tomorrow.

If anyone wants i can post up a few pictures as i have been taking some here and there to keep Facebook updated.

The floods are a big conspiracy concocted by channel 10. Think about it.
Channel 10 decide to now start showing 2 hours of news from 4 until 6, and what better way to kick it off than a good ol' fashioned natural disaster.

Although, yes Channel 10 has over glamourised this 'natural disaster', but I can tell you right now, all of this is real. I have seen the damage that has been done first hand. It's real doodle in the face. I'm not sure if you're saying it as a joke though <,<.
