Note: Yes I know its not really camo but I couldn't think of what else to call it.

Did anyone else notice that in the pic of the new recon the tac light is on backwards?

    Lol what a fail!
BTW there actually is a reason for it being backwards.
That reason is that if it were the right way around then it wouldn't be able to be supported by the plastic stand thing, so it remains the wrong way around.

What is with the vortex darts. What happened to the urban taggers maverick paint scheme?

I don't know what goes down in adelaide, but up here, the only swords that are allowed are the foam pirate ones that are like $3-$8. Because the nerf ones use hard foam, which hurt when hit with them, even if you just swing it a little. Sure I can take it, but 12yo's can't. With pirate swords, I swing it as hard as I can and even the littliest kids don't mind, for lack of a better word.

Actually if you look at it at high res the stand is supporting the barrel and the tac light is merely resting against the stand, so it still would work if it was on the right way.
Also, that raider looks good in yellow

Any person who can swing a foam sword hard enough to hurt anyone should not be allowed to use one.

That being said, if a 12 year old can deal with being hit by bbbb's, titans, bbumb's etc they can take a foam sword/axe.

I think being shot in 'one accurate' area instead of being slamed in the ribs by one is two different stories.

The foam swords I've found if you swing with the same amount of 'force' the N-Force wins hands down in pain.

    Packaging Fail:
If you look at the bottom right part about what it includes, it apparently includes a recon instead of a Mav.

They seem to be changing their approach, going for the retro teens and mixing in the milsim now.

Wow, good spot with that one. Also, why does it only have 4 darts?

    Yes

The manner in which they are used here in Adelaide is not like that, they are used to "tag" players rather than to beat up on them. (except when Chad challenges you to a duel and bonks you in the nads, lol)

They're not darts, they're those chocolate/vanilla wafer things.

@ Littlebro: if the kids wuss out of a war just of one thwack and you hit the kids so hard that they wuss out then neither of you should be there. Just saying.

The blasters are clearing the way for the nerf vortex, why vortex?
that name is only appropriate for a nerf gun that fires at 700 rpm, and holds 100 darts, or shoots 120 ft stock, and knowing nerf, it won't be that, it will be something useless. (there to cheap to make the first one, and to scared of the retarted people that use nerf guns to make the other one.

Ok you have obviously never been hit at full force in the face with one of those before on 'purpose' or 'accident'. Hit someone hard enough and in the right spot it, you could be looking in some serious injury there.

I don't mind getting hit by a dart in the head, but like SwitchBlade said, doesn't stop 'assholes' from ruining the game for everyone. We should be trying avoid 'these mishaps' rather than encouraging it and banning it for them because they were an idiot. And trust me, alot of people would rage being hit in the face by one of those... or anything really. If you say you wouldn't, then get a 'stranger' to smack you in the face... there you go...

Back on topic: There was a nerf ad during glee and the "kid" in the ad looked 20yrs old. Nerf guns are becoming more popular with teens and older people. It wouldn't be long until Hasbro realised this. Maybe they think N-strike sounds lame and kiddy, vortex would appeal to a wider audience. I think they just want to target everyone not just 10yr olds.

I reckon they have realized that by advertising to older teens and young adults, who have jobs or employment and an income they can sell more products. Whereas with their old marketing scheme of advertising to younger kids who would have to wait till christmas or there birthdays to get such expensive toys. The slogan on their facebook page, "Nerf creates foam dart weaponry for the next generation of college warfare" shows this. I personally think that they're just aiming for that little trigger happy child in all of us.
