10th of April Sydney war (time change)

Please someone take photos (or video) just in case I miss out. Bicentennial makes it easier for me but I still don't know if I can make the whole event if at all.

Benefit of the doubt
Anyway, if I can't make the 10th of April war, when will the next one be held? Any indications?
P.S.
Phuong's LED'd mavs would go for about $50-60 each. He doesn't like being lowballed.

Bicentennial is a potential site of a future war. I'm not at all responsible for the one in Chatswood, I merely suggested it for future Sydney wars.
Anyway I find it a bit disconcerting our dear organizer/s have not been too active in prepping this up.

I would be happy to come on board as an organiser/referee for Bicentennial Park-based wars, I would consider myself an asset given my experience in outdoor laser and paintball skirmish activities and my avid interest in milsim.

Sorry that I have been away for awhile but I don't spend that much time on oznerf. I think I will change the time to maybe 11 or 12 till 4pm'if that's ok with everyone just it makes it less of a hassle for everyone. About the venue I think bicentennial is fine for me and I am happy if someone else organizes the next war because I am clearly not good enough but I have done the last 4 or 5 wars but alot of the other organizes that I have used are really dodgy so go all the way. Thanks

If the 10th of April war is being held at Bicentennial Park, I'll come, but work will need to know TOMORROW I definately want that day off, I'll only go if it's at Bicentennial Park.

Well when considering a venue change, you first need to figure out how many people are coming. Making a definitive list is a good idea. Next you look at how many days you have before the event. Then you have to tell those people the venue has changed and make sure they KNOW.
In my opinion, there's enough time to do this (Assuming there are only about 10 people going). I'm sure you could communicate the change of venue to the attendees. It's just a bit of work.
Honestly though, it's Longstrikeguy's war. He organised it from the start so it should be his call.
EDIT: I realised the date of the war was April 10, not April 1. I don't know why I thought that. If that's the case, then there's ample time to change location. If it makes it more convenient for most of the Sydney nerfers, then I believe it should be looked into. But again, it's Longstrikeguy's choice.

well I never intended to hijack LSG's organized war, but merely saying future wars could be there.

Yes, it should be up to Longstrikeguy's decision, he's hosted the first proper Sydney wars.
Besides, there are a few people that rarely get on here that are attending, so a change of venue would be a bit too soon for them.

Oh I'm sure there are plenty of Sydney wars around, just not public and in Oznerf. It's not like we're the only Sydney nerfers around.

NO! We are the only ones that exist in Aus [/sarcasm]
Considering how the nerf stock depleted last month at Kmart blacktown I believe there is at least a shelf full of people out there. I've been going back every now and then but after restock no one is buying =[
Will visit Kmart tonight (love the 24 hour system)

So Quick 16s are available to ship to Australia from Amazon, anyone want to order together to save a few bucks on shipping? If it gets ordered in the next day or so, it'll most likely arrive before the 10th.

I though that i was the only one who knew about it.
Its $40 shipped. Postage will NOT be cheaper with bulkbuy.

Xoenz, you seem to be right, although it's weird since the shipping to Australia page claims $9.99 per shipment and $3.99 per item. And 2120, it actually is the Quick 16 for $40, I thought it's pretty cheap too.

Let's see. $9.99 x 1 + $3.99 x 1 = $13.98

I reckon I'm in the same boat as you. Its tiny size and rapid fire abilities really interest me.

Okay then.. I stand corrected.

You mean speedload 6?

Speedload 6, according to alot of reviews and http://nerfornothing.blogspot.com/ is VERY big (Recon+) size. Just a heads up, and it'll be hard holstering that big thing

compared to the other guns that are slam-firing, that's fine. A Recon that could slam fire would be amazing. No more putting up with useless faux barrels.

So is this still going to be held at Chatswood? Also, anyone attending interested in a new barrel break on it's own for $25?

Yes, the war is still at chatwood.
Could everyone tell me which days in the holidays would be a good time for a second war.
Thanks

Re: 10th of April Sydney war (time change)
If we had a wider open space.. we could 'own' that area without fear of hitting bystanders or curious eyes giving weird looks. We just need to bring our own covers and an open area turns into a nerfing field.

There is hardly anyone at the park and if people are there they usually move of the battlefield.

You guys better be prepared for longstrikeguy when he ups the springs in his TS. A good NF+LS combo should do the trick.
Which reminds me boy, you'd better do some damn good advertising for me at this war. And I need your details to charge you through Paypal too...

Ohh this should be good.
His QS vs my singled TS with Hopper clip.

I understand the 10th of April war should be held at it's organised location of Chatswood, however Bicentennial Park MUST be considered for successive wars (including those in the holidays).

I've got a Longshot + stock spring in my clip fed breeched TS =)
LSG's probably would have a higher RoF, but i have to more shots before reloading. And unless he's a big 12 year old Polynesian boy, I'd say he'd have a harder time reloader it than I would.
Anyway - Synergie's right. Judging by the success in lighting up the interest of Sydney nerfers, we should be already planning another war soon. Anyone volunteer to run it?
