    modding a nerf nite finder?

Post  ticklemenerf on Mon Apr 11, 2011 2:41 pm

Ok so I'm not totally sure if this is the right thread to be posting this in, forgive me if I'm wrong I'm a bit of a newbie.

I've just got myself a nite finder and I've removed the AR and am looking at modding it as much as I can, I'm just wondering if by drilling out all the things in the barrel will it give it more power? I simply cut the glue seal and removed the spring and the tiny thing that was in there with the spring. Would it help to drill out the prong and other things in the barrel or not?
    Thanks in advance

Hey mate, I've not modded a NF, so I'm of little help to you.

Just thought I'd let you know this would be better off in the questions thread. Just a bit of a tip for future questions.

Have you searched for NF mods in the forum? I'm pretty sure there would be at least one tutorial that would most probably answer your question.

    Hope you work it out.

    Cheers,

We would like for you to do your research. I could google something like this and find many search results. Although we welcome new members, we don't tend to spoon feed them. It's because we want our members to be independent too. Modification is all improvisation. You pick up knowledge along the way.

I don't believe drilling out the prong will help much but it couldn't hurt. if you wan't to get the best ranges from your Nitefinder head over to Bunnings and ask an employee where the springs are, look for one called the C-836 it should be around $6. Grab your dremel tool (Ozito $40 also from Bunnings is good) and cut 2 1/2 coils off, chuck that in your Nitefinder and ranges will go through the roof, compared to stock.

Next time if you would like to ask a question post it here... http://www.oznerf.com/t2840-the-questions-thread
It just helps keep the clutter out.

P.S. Everybody starts somewhere. Please don't let this hinder your motivation in modification of Nerf. My first Nerf Blaster was a NF. However, I didn't ask anyone about it. I just did my research and found what I could find. It's the best way to do it. You learn more and it feels better when you've discovered something new.

I will have to have an FAQ for basic modification for Nerf Blasters when I'm bored.

I can give you a hand with that if you like.

And yes, don't let this deter you from this fantastic hobby/sport. 3 months ago I had no idea about modding blasters, and after a bit of research and trial n error, I've successfully modded 10, with quite a few more to go.
