Are there any restrictions on blasters?

I may or may not come to this war. I have three assignments due pretty much straight after the midsem break -.-

Alright I should be able to go - unless my family decides to take me somewhere uninteresting. I'll ask my mates if they want to be my wingmen lol

No restrictions on blasters, we'll just man-up and take the pain. I am in a similar position as you, I have a few assignments I'll be working on over the break, one of which is worth a whopping 60%, however I am *gifting* myself this day as a reward for my hard work.

Are we having a "dart standard"?

I know not everyone has access to inf0rm3r's darts, but those that do will have an instant advantage in distance and the ability to welt opponents.

I'm waiting on Informer's silicon tip darts. He said they'd be available on the 31st but I don't think he updated his thread with prices or anything.

If anyone has any information on that, it would be much appreciated.

Can melee deflect bullets (with the exception of shield)?

I emphasise deflect as swinging a sword/axe at a bullet(s) is harder than blocking with an axe/really fat blade.

I use bluefoam with black snap caps from ebay (assuming that is informer selling them)

I have 200~ of them and about 150 streamline, with 50 camo whistlers. I will use primarily stingers and whistlers on the day.

If I go, I'd be using Ferdelances unless the silicon tips become available.

I'll probably go to this war, seeing as it's in Bicentennial, instead of the Centennial Park war, seeing as it's annoying getting down there. Thanks for hosting Synergie

It's actually easier to get to Centennial Park. Buses go directly there if you know which to get on. But as long as you're going to a war, no one's going to complain

Pro's drive themselves or get driven if they cannot drive!

I'd feel a little weird getting on a train or bus with my gear, all power to you if you choose to do so however.

EDIT: Just had the thought that leaving our unused gear on a park bench while we're out playing a game is a security risk. I propose we stow our gear in my car boot and other's who drove as well if they are happy to, thoughts?

I think that's a good idea! Bicentennial Park can get busy at times with walkers and cyclists. But is your boot big?

I call my Corolla the "Lan-mobile" I can take 2 to 3 friends plus myself and all of our computers to LAN parties, the boot is fairly big and I can put the back seats down if necessary.

If I'm coming I'll be driving. Thing is I've only got up to as far as Concorde West/Rhodes, so I'll be going to new territory so to speak.

Since Bicentennial Park is at the entrance to the Olympic Park precinct, follow the signs to Olympic Park, the entrance to Bicentennial Park is hard to miss, look for the clock tower, see the street view image HERE.

I go there almost everyday for soccer training (in olympic park, not bicentenial) It is very close by. Thank god all of the wars (except lsg) are close!!

If you or your parents own 2-way CB radios, I invite you to bring them along as I will be bringing my two radios, we could get some real tactical action going.

Where suburb do you live in?

Actually i don't think i can make this. It's a Tues and my parents work, my Mum is off on Monday and Friday though

To an FYI to those who didnt know like I did, this Easter LONG weekend is VERY long this year, it is FIVE days, from Friday to TUESDAY. This is due to ANZAC Day and Easter Monday falling on the same day, therefore Tuesday is now proclaimed the "ANZAC Day Holiday". It is unlikely your parents are working, Easter Monday is a no-go for me, the family is away Friday/Saturday/Sunday, that is why I could have warred then, but on their return Sunday night, we are having an Easter get together on Easter Monday.

This war is now precisely two weeks away!!

Bit stalkerish you found me :P, but anyway, I grew up Roselands, so I know the area well, I used to live in Kent Avenue, behind Roselands Pool. You're only about 10minutes drive from where I live now in Lugarno and the proposed war location at Gannons Park.

I may or may not be working on this day, depending on the shift Im working this war can go ahead, but there's a big Maybe. Need expressions of interest from attendees whether they can make a war on Wednesday the 27th (the next day), if most of you cannot make that day and Im given work, Ill try and palm the shift off to someone else, however if most of you can make it, I will go and work because more money is always nice!

I cannot make Wednesday if that ends up being the day, due to school going back. A few others may also have this problem.

Seems your schools aren't cool enough to have a Pupil free day, given this I will try to not work, unless I am only given a shift at night, in which case, no problems.

I can maybe due Tuesday. weather permitting.

last time sucked because it rained - if its looking like it may slightly rain a little bit, I am not making the trek.

Now my mum can be bothered taking me, so I can't come all of a sudden. I'm seriously sick of this! I'm really sorry to all of the event organisers who have put me down as a maybe and then had to forget about me when I said I couldn't come. I am still yet to attend a war.

Do not assume it was your decision to not come that was the sole catalyst for cancelling this war, overall there was not enough interest to warrant holding a war.

i was really lookng forward to it as it was one could attend as i live close by. Damn it, haven't been going to the other wars because they are far, and when i found out you were holding one close by,i jumped at the oppurtunity!!!AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
