I would love to go, but I have an 18th to go to that I already committed to. Maybe I could finally get to one the following holidays.

@Bacara That's a shame, maybe we'll host another one before the holidays end... maybe

Yeah was good to meet you bro, I swear I think you're taller than me. Hoping you can come though, I might need a test subject for my wipeout. Although I'm not sure were to start with it's mods.

Looking forward to this war a lot more than I'm looking forward to my birthday.

Tacticoolness is encouraged! Just don't go over the top with you blaster's paintjob. We don't want people to think you're carrying a real gun

All sorts of tactical gear is allowed as long as some bright orange (or similar) is very clear on your blaster.

Bringing your own custom darts is allowed, which will complement our dart hire. That said, after three more events, dart hire will become compulsory for all attendees, much like how the QLD crowd operate.

Hoorah, thanks for the confirmation there.
Oh so in the near future, everyone is going to be using the same kind of dart throughout the war ? Hm. Interesting. Kinda sucks, but I can see the value of moving towards such a concept - ensuring fairness and what not, amongst other things of course. Awesome.

I should add, the darts we're hiring are Inform3r's silicone tip darts coupled with blue foam, these are quality darts.

Will they be just light tips, heavies, or a mix of both and we pick which ones we want?

Will/would the pricing be the same as the QLD guys ? Because you'd need a sh%t load of darts to supply everyone, as I'd imagine a fair few would get lost - unless there would be some sort of limited quantity per player.

But then again, it is a long ways away.

Echoes has already purchased over ~$450 in materials (foam and tips), which equates to over 3200 darts, should PLENTY for everyone, in terms of price, we're working with $10 per player for a yet to be determined GENEROUS sum of darts.

Hmm interesting idea. Would rise a few problems such as dart size.

My RSCB's and fix'd TS accepts no more than 1.5" dart, and silicon tips may have some problems when feeding from a recon, just like snap caps.

Also, having ALL heavy would dramatically reduce the range and efficiency of weaker blasters, mainly dandaldaks's ATs and such.

Oh btw, is it pink foam?

Post  Echoes on Fri Jun 10, 2011 3:37 pm

@ Xoenz: That's what you get for using the wrong sized dart :P.
@ Xoenz again: They were meant to be pink, but informer and I had issues with the dart fit (more often than not, they wouldn't fit into stock barrels, let alone Petg. That is resolved now, because we're using blue foam until I make back what I spent and informer... gets better pink foam
@Xoenz again, again: The issue with the recon should be fixed because informer ordered slightly longer lengths of darts. That would press down the AR, allowing for proper airflow, unlike before. Besides, that problem only occurred in stock recons. If you're using a stock recon, you'd best borrow a blaster from someone else.

@SydneyNerfer: I'm cutting them down to be medium weighted darts. It'll act as a midground for everyone. When I actually put in my order, informer didn't have glue that worked with the Lites. He does now though. Perhaps in the future, we could arrange something for all lites, mediums and heavies.

@Synergie: Just how generous do you intend me to be? Reeling and dealing for me I see...

@-mirsho: Don't worry about the above statement to synergie, for the first few wars, there'll be a fair few stefans flying around.

Unfortunately I have to retract my attendance to this war - something came up and it fell on this date, and it's important to the people I'm heading out with that I be there, so something had to give. I'll be at the next one though, guaranteed.
