    The basics

The game is a CTF style game which is played in five rounds. As the game progresses, you earn money. The better you or your team does, the more money you'll earn. Money is spent on guns and other equipment and also acts as your score. Unlike other regular nerf games, it can be very punishing to the losing team, as the better team will be able to buy better things. Here's how a sample game would work...

1)You start the game with a stock nitefinder, $1 and three darts. The rest of your team has the same thing. You can only carry 3 darts at a time but you can always get more at your flag spawn point.

2)For every enemy player you kill, you get $1. If you capture the flag, the round ends and your entire team gets $1 and the shooting stops. The round also ends after 3 minutes regardless of what happens. You only have one life so use it wisely!

3)It's now round 2 and everybody gets $2 at the start of the round and you can shop. You're going to have a minimum of $3 to spend. You've got a minute to shop and then the shooting starts again.

4)Since it's round 2, a kill is now worth $2 and the flag's worth $2. So by round 5, which is also the final round, everything will be worth $5.

5)The game ends in one of two ways. It can end at the end of round five where you simply total up all the money and see which team has the most. The other way is if a team destroys the enemy's flag spawn point with a rocket.

    The price list

    $1 - Grenades
    $3 - Ammo capacity is now 10
    $3 - Extra magstrike clip
    $4 - Stock Maverick
    $5 - Ammo capacity is now 20
    $5 - Melee weapon
$6 - Extra 18 drum mag or clip
    $6 - Stock Spectre
    $8 - Stampede Shield
    $8 - Stock Recon
    $10 - Mod Nf(that goes to 50ft)
    $12 - Mod Spectre
    $12 - Stock Barrel Break
    $14 - Stock Furyfire
    $15 - Stock Titan
    $15 - Shield
    $16 - Stock Alpha Trooper
    $18 - Stock Magstrike
    $20 - Stock Raider
    $23 - Mod Barricade
    $23 - Stock vulcan/stampede
    $25 - Singled Triple Shot
    $28 - 4B/BBUMB/Random air gun
$35 - Mod Triple shot with spring replacement
$40 - Mod LS with spring replacement

    Additional Rules

Stampede shields - Protect the gun from bullet damage. You will be able to block bullets with your gun with this attached. Purchasing one means you own it as part of your arsenal and can therefore transfer it to any gun you choose to use at the time. Your gun can still be destroyed by grenades, melee/throwing weapons or a rocket, which will still result in your death.

Barrel Breaks - Get you double the money from kills. So for every kill in round four, you'd get $8.

Hey, you know how you were going with the whole 'red vs blue' thing. Why don't you get your Shot Blasts into the equation. They're $14 at the moment at Target so.... would be something pretty cool for the RPG game.

I agreee with increasing the shield to $15 and adding grenades. It was fun and worked really well not much tweeking required at all.

Added Stampede shields. Guns will now be made immune to bullet damage while you have one equipped. Melee weapons/grenades/rockets will still destroy the gun and therefore you as a result. I find the shields stay attached to any gun quite well and they add a small strategy change to the game.

What are the Grenades? Scatterblasts, Nerf pocket howlers or something i do not know about because I have not been here too long? (y'know, like something that EVERYONE here knows about except the newbies who have not had the experience :P). I'd like to know because I have been thinking about the concept of a Nerf grenade...

    They are usually pocket howlers.

They ARE pocket howlers. Scatter Blasts Are cool, but they suck. Mind you, there are certain times that they could be useful.

Request sticky for this thread. Also, further discussion - do hits on melee weapons count as kills? Because if they do, we can't parry each other in melee, which seems... problematic. What about gun shots? Are we allowed to deflect darts or rockets with melee items?

My understanding is that melee weaps can deflect darts, not 100% about nades/rockets.

Parrying is go, a melee kill must be to the body.In RPGN it is melee or blaster, one can not have both as is my understanding of the rules.

    Gooni.
