I went up to the Target closest to my Grandma's place today, looking to buy Nerf. I noticed a sign on my way up, that said there was an Accuracy contest. When I got outside the store, the was a proper comp set up, with the prizes of a Barricade, Maverick, SuperSoaker Thunderstorm, Vortex Proton and a Mega Howler football, all in one prize pool. They had about 10 lots of them too. I had a go at there comps running at 12 and 3, to no avail. The Mavericks were spent and tired and the darts were substandard. Disappointing, really, as I was about 2mm away from winning both times. Anyway, I found this interesting with no prior warning, as the guys were Hasbro employees, and had strong American accents, not just the usual n00bs that are ran the TRU one. Am I the only one to come across this?

Re: Nerf Target Event
Saw this as well outside target at Carlingford Court.
Same prizes and competition times. Was told its running until the end of this week.
People running it weren't hasbro employees though, they said they were from a promotional company. They didn't know much about nerf products.
I failed at it too. Final challenge is to hit 4 targets from about 2 metres away in 1 shot each with a maverick.
Worthwhile checking out
There's also a promotion where you get a free pocket howler with any nerf purchase. Although target sale ended yesterday and their normal prices are pretty high compared to other retailers normally.

One of the promo staff loaded and entire 6 clip with the darts the wrong way around and then hit the clip in so hard he snapped the clip lock. LOL
