    New sidearm? Empty New sidearm?

My Recon's plunger tube just broke. I know, I'm an idiot for not padding it properly, but the question now stands - which blasters should I get as a replacement? I was considering another Recon, maybe a Maverick (probably not), or an Alpha Trooper.
This will only be my third gun - the first being the Recon in question, the second being my Longshot.

You can always buy a new plunger tube for the recon of a member, save some money.

Or you can just but a new blaster, i would go for the alpha trooper.

This is probably something more dedicated to the questions thread: http://www.oznerf.com/t3719p280-the-questions-thread
Please try to use that next time you have an inquiry like this.

Anyways it depends what kind of war you are going to (if at all), if not it depends what you are going to use it for. The recon, maveric and alpha trooper are fine stock or in HvZ but they lack much modding potential. A popular combo is the longshot and nightfinder. Though I would suggest checking out the kind of guns people use at the next war.

The whole 'blaster vs blaster' thread is completely opinionated. You should really just buy a blaster depending on HOW you play. None of us can decide for you.

For example, Alpha Troopers = Pump Action + SlamFire? In a war you would use that for rushing peeps because it has a high rate of fire. We also haev a write up on how to mod one on the 'Modification's Directory' stickied on the modification section of the forums.

Recons, it's surprisingly used quite abit at our Brisbane wars. It's small and lightweight, best for mobility imo. I'm not a big fan.

Maverick... if you're a handgun man. Go for that, it still has a high RoF and is cheap. It occasionally misfires though.

As you can see, what I've recommended you is all opinionated, I wouldn't know what you would like best. So if you can, please refrain asking these questions. Also, remember to ask those sort of questions where Joey posted that link. Thanks =).
