Okay, a while ago, I removed the AR from my BB hunter but that just made it worse. The hunters internals were a bit difficult to work with but I just decided to do what everyone else does with it. I do lack a few pictures but I'll go through in as much detail as possible.
First, strip the hunter, for me, everything came out except the catch because it was nailed in. It's fine there but it just makes it a pain to get the trigger out.
This was the plunger tube, remove it, and create a replacement, also remove the dart tooth.
For the replacement I used 20mm PVC cut to the plungers exact length and added a 20mm > 15mm coupler.
Now cut off the bottom bit of the front of the shell and sand out both sides of the shell where the old plunger tube sat to let the new one sit. It is a real tight fit for the coupler to fit in, sanding down the screw post at the bottom helps. When I got the whole thing to fit, I wrapped e-tape around the front of the plunger tube and put it in, measured and cut off the half the e-tape. (A bit hard to understand the process but it's meant to be a spacer and by cutting the tape it won't interfere with the other half of the shell) Add hot glue to the tape and stick it to the shell.
With the plunger head; I filled the holes with hot glue, replaced the padding and o-ring. Spring, I kept the Nf gen 2 I put in there. And that's it.
Now for cosmetics;
Base coat, Chaos Black
Body Primary, I mixed Bolt Gun Metal with Liche Purple
Body Secondary, Liche Purple (it's put at where the sticker used to be)
Detail, Enchanted Blue
And Australians export chrome on the bolt, trigger, barrel and coupler.
Originally I wanted to create an rscb that went through the barrel without ruining the fake barrel but that failed.
Something that I am going to do but haven't got the materials yet.
I like to put 15mm PVC into the barrel to create an extended barrel and I figured I could store ammo in there. So once I get some 1/2" brass, I'm going to cut a piece to but into the bolt so every time I tilt it up a dart will fall into place.
