Grab a nitefinder. It's a small pistol, and easy to mod due to being a direct plunger system. This is the same with the longshot clip-system blaster. Being direct plunger means you can upgrade them with beefier springs more easily, compared to other blasters which are reverse plungers.

Every person who is new to Nerf and is looking to up their basic skills in modding should get a Maverick (low-med range, ROF) and / or a NiteFinder (med-high range, single shot). Two cheapest blasters, also two blasters you only really need for a war.

Pretty much what knightmare said. to mention if you stuff up a nitefinder who care's they are like $10.

I'm surprised how many people join before even owning a gun... How do you even know about 'nerfing'. I owned a couple of guns before I found out you can mod them or there were nerf wars and a huge online community. I only found out about that stuff when my gun broke and I googled how to fix it.

Anyway nice to have you here.

By the way my nitefinder gets 90ft and it wasn't that hard to do.

I think your best bet would be to head over to the reviews section of the forum HEREand do some reading.

You'll have a lot of fun with a Stampede though and it has good modding potential. Or go for the Vortex Nitron for longer range but with less modding potential.

Check out Big W for a Whiteout Nightfinder. My local store got new stock of them in today so I bought myself one, I have read that they shoot further than standard Nightfinders, which apparently most of the Whiteout range do but I haven't got a regular one to compare with. My Whiteout Maverick shoots further than my Gear Up Maverick though, even with its air restrictors removed so maybe it's true for the Nightfinder too.

Even if they don't shoot further, the Whiteout blasters look better than any of the other coloured versions anyway.

Welcome! Stampedes and Vulcans are under $50 at Big W at the moment. Both have modding potential and rapid firing. Mavericks are easy to mod and you can get some decent range out of them. Got mine for $13 at Toyworld.

Littlebro always tells me to get the BBUMB it's good for a long range gun and plus I will go for the longshot and a NF that's all you need.

NF (Modded - Barrel replacement, AR removal, seal improvment / new spring if you want)
LS (Modded - NF spring, AR removal, lock removals)
    BBUMB (Modded - singles)
100 or so Darts (lilbros wars)

    ... and you all set.

NiteFinder EX-3 - Secondary (Med-Long range. Some use as primary)
LongShot CS-6 - Main. Keep the clip system, just improve the range.
Buzz Bee Ultimate Missile Blaster - Long range. Losering FTW

EDIT: And while your at it, sign up for sewing lessons with the 12 year-olds. (I have a custom protective vest, specially made for minimal dart hurtage :P)

At Target. Could you not type like that, it feels like you're screaming at people, it's abit impolite.
