New threads idea

As someone who casually checks this site a few times a week and only really looks at new topics i think a "new threads" function could be beneficial. It could be a time saver for people who want to quickly look at the new stuff and not check the different sections (i personally always check Mods, general and homemades for new ideas and info)

Kinda like this:




A colour system could be used to separate new threads that have/haven't been locked (Red=new, Blue=new and locked).
The new and locked idea is to save people from bothering to look at people spamming stuff or on threads in the wrong section.

Pretty cool idea but I'm not sure it's possible with this forum software. Actually, I don't think I've seen that feature on any forum before. Have you?

The new posts since last visit option works for me but I check back here multiple times a day so there is never that many to go through.

Locked threads can be recognised easily by the red X next to the topic.

Yep I am "new posts since last visit" all the way.

Though sometimes it doesn't actually mark them as read so when I come back I think I have new posts but they are not, which is kinda annoying. Though I check the site about 20-40times daily....because I have nothing better to do.

Yeah Joey told me about the "View posts since last visit". Using that is more simple. This is located in the top right hand corner of these for those who are blind like I was.

Oh true. Interesting. I'm abit too lazy to mess around with the forum controls. I was very tempted to alter the threads so it's like...

- Want to Sell
- Want to Trade

Modifications
- Mods in Process
- Modification Wiki
- How-to Mod ONLY Posts

Basically break into sections. However, I don't have the time at the moment, and I don't want to mess up the forums already LOL.
