Buzzbee Torrent - Internals and other stuff Empty Buzzbee Torrent - Internals and other stuff

    Post  |Shadow| Tue Jan 10, 2012 6:26 am

Ok first post since joining (besides the met and greets), I noticed a request for internals and Buzzbee guns are wanted.
Although this wasn't on the list, i had taken pictures of the gun when i cracked it open to look at it and was doing some basic mods on it.
No one had a post for the BuzzBee Air Warriors Torrent so here they are!

Some pictures are not that good quality, the lights where too bright in the room at the time, it was early morning and my phone sometimes refused to focuses
Sorry no pictures of plunger insides or the spring (lost the photos of them?!?!).
The spring is short but thick. It rests on a spike much like the long shot front gun (Spring stretch works good for better rangers)
The plunger is a 'direct' plunger system not 'reverse' plunger system.
Plunger tube has a air restrictor at the front.
Few other things to note ... the black (two piece) tube the dart travels down isn't in the photos.

Anyway I will stop rambling on and get the show on the road!

Not Internal i know but I think it's nice to see the gun in question first.
Stickers where removed as I don't like them much!

Now I added a picture of a shell and dart (sorry the shell has been modded and i didnt take a picture before i did this)
because the shells and darts are different then the normal (original) Buzzbee ones.

They are spring loaded. Inside the bottom is a black disc with a spring under it.
They have a longer post inside them that sicks out the top of the shell and the air hole at the bottem is very very small.
So word of warning when drilling out the shells DON'T use a drill bit that is bigger then the hole else you could make a mess!
Here is a quick mock up of how the shell works ...

    Black line = pad
    Black extended line = spring
    Red line = Dart post
    Yellow line = air hole

If i open it up again I will try to remember to take some pictures of the plunger and spring.
I think that about covers it for now.
Comments?! flames?! Missed something!? Let me know

Feels pretty sold, bit of weight to it also.

Yeah i guess you could say the plunger is about the same but the spring is much smaller.
The trigger catch is different to what i have seen before but thats not to say you could replace the plunger system.
You can get a pretty good ROF out of it too.
Handles (pump and trigger) are small for small hands though.

One feature which i forgot to say was you can fire it WITHOUT ejecting the shells which would be handy when at wars.
12 darts + shells in total (all 12 can be loaded).

    Peronally I really like it
They are $15 at target (target exclusive).
