After we have seen a lot of the new Light It Up series, I was wondering what everyone thought about it. Personally, I like the idea, although I hope it will see some new releases, not more repaints with glow in the dark darts. Anyway, what do you think?

In my opinion. I think it wouldn't be so great for wars. However, for parties where you can just mess around with stuff. People would be mesmerised by the glow in the dark projectiles.

Would be a lot of fun for a night time stock war. Bonus points if you only make some of the rounds glow, like 'tracer' rounds. Would be cool

Just use some of firefly darts, combined with stock darts in the firefly clip for a tracer effect. So just load every second or third dart with a glow in the dark one.

I'm sick Of repaints. Why create a whole new dart blaster and just repaint the disc shooter? Seems like a stupid marketing idea hoping we wouldnt notice the difference. Probably won't get it seeing as i already have a praxis i don't use and i see no need for
    Another one

As for the Rayven, They should of just left the rayven in normal nstrike colours with no
"Glow". I will still get it, but will probably paint it cause I'm not a big fan of the fluro green.

Overall, Im hoping this is a one-off thing. I'd rather them bring the firefly back then make more "glow" guns.

Eh, I like these new ones. Bullpup especially, looks so damn epic... Lumitron looks nice as well. I'll be hoping to get the Rayven.

Jacobyeah your right its stupid releasing a new gun with a gun that came out not that long ago anyway I won't buy it because I don't care about the coolness unless its practical as well.

I'm waiting to see about modding potential for the rayven.

Yup, Rayven seems cool, but I have no idea why you would want a Praxis repaint without a stock? Seems stupid to me, why don't they just release an all new blaster. I could give them hundreds of ideas, but then they just redo ONE gun from the Vortex line. Makes no sense- the OCD inside me needs uniformity!

Because it uses the same production methods? For Nerf to make a completely new blaster they'd have to make an entire new set of tools and designs; to make a repaint requires practically nothing.

    Green is pretty =D
In all seriousness, I don't mind repaints, saves me money in the long run because if its a nice scheme, like the white-out series, I'll feel less inclined to give it a spray of something else. The idea of glowing darts, while a good marketing ploy, doesn't really appeal to me, however the bullpup design does, as does the semi-auto clip-fed aspect of the blaster. Personally, I can't wait to see this thing on shelves.
I'll probably end up retiring my alpha trooper in favour of it, simply because it does the same job, but better, and in a slightly smaller form factor.

Unless you like the Brzzzzz noise coming out of the blaster, I dislike it. However, since this clip seems to be able to fit into the stampede... I guess you can have glow in the dark darts coming out of your stampede?

Having used a compressor magstrike for an entire war, the slight whirr of flywheels is nothing! When in the right hands, such a blaster becomes somewhat of an intimidation device to others. Sure there's the drawback of giving away your position, but with something this small, you'll be rushing most of the time anyway!

Haha. Each to their own I guess. Eh it doesn't matter anyway. The wars I host, you might as well not stealth since you're going to be always running. The one thing I think Nerf did right for once with fly wheels is that it accomodates everybody's wanting a bullpup design and a better version of a clip fed barricade. I especially like that the fact that the ON/OFF button for the blaster is a push switch underneath the trigger. Which means no awkward turning it on/off or half trigger pull mods to turn on.

Modding Potential would probably be voltage and lock removal
