cracked plunger tubes even with padding tells you not to get the ALU ones. dunno about their polycarb ones though. give it a whirl and report back

I ordered the recon massacre kit when i was super nub, it came a couple weeks ago, improvement wasn't that mind blowing, but the bolt sled has already cracked in half.

i would also like to add that my AT ALU catch has recently died. this is after thousands of cycles though so, not bad. that said the stock parts still hold up to near any abuse i can throw at it =/

I had to get an OMW stage two kit for my Recon after I broke the nerf plunger tube whilst trying to remove the AR.
Its' ok, but like to jam when loading. I have one of Oznerfnerd's' spring kits installed, so it has a fair amount of power.
The OMW double .5 strength spring for Vulcan is bloody good though

I am basically after upgrade springs and some internal parts, and there are so many places to get them and i do not want to waste $50 and have is break in 2 seconds.

    cheers

I dunno hey, they seemed like they were really going to take off at the start but now they just have one delay after another on their parts and I keep hearing stuff about their plunger tubes breaking, which is kind of backwards since that's the event you'd be trying to avoid by buying an aftermarket plunger tube. If you're wanting spring kits I'd say just go for what Oznerfnerd has, it's posting from Australia so it'll get to you faster anyway.

    Thanks mate,

I would add that what you guys seem to be doing to reinforce your plunger tubes is all that is required IMHO.

There's only so heavy you can go with the spring in a RP blaster, due to space restrictions in both ID and OD.

I'd recommend the AT over the Recon hands down, any day.

The next project will be an arse smacking Stampede kit, by the way.

It will have a unique and worthwhile feature.

    Still some time out though.

Basically, Littlebro and a few of the others have been epoxying a washer on the back of their plunger to reinforce it.

This is mentioned in several posts they have written, so a little bit of searching/browsing will explain that better.

RP is a commonly used term in nerf modding for reverse plunger (fair enough, I was lazy in my writing). Just search that, you'll see.

AT, Alpha trooper. Commonly used on this forum.

For products, just see my signature.

    Cheers,
