    It's not worth the admins effort to implement something like that. The forum isn't crazy active so you might as well look at all the new topics. You can generally tell if it's any good just by the title. The admins are good at their job, if they decide its needed then they'll do something about it but I'm fairly sure they'll come to the same conclusion.

    They always just turn in to a popularity/pissing contest anyway. Incredibly political and cause more harm than good.

    Yep this is exactly it. We actually had a voting system per post in the past (Phoung put it in from memory) but it didn't end up being very useful and it was scrapped. While ranking of data and upvoting can work really well (see Reddit) forums were never really designed with that in mind.
