Smith & Wesson 1911 Foam Dart Gun (Version 2) - Internals

    Post  |Shadow| on Mon Feb 20, 2012 2:17 pm

    Left: Stock Spring
Right Upgrade Spring (from black tactical)

    Notes:

DO NOT drill out the dart post. It will render the gun useless and unable to fire more then 1 ft (yes thats right 1 ft).
The barrel size is larger then the dart itself.
To remove the AR's just snap the top off the dart post inside the tube.

If you do want to remove it and fire standard size darts you will have to put a piece of brass in the dart tube.
17/32 fits perfectly inside the original barrel with a very nice seal (may need to hot glue it).
After that most standard streamline size darts will fit.

With a brass barrel and good seal it gets around 40-50ft (maybe even better if the seal is done right)

The plastic used for the plunger tube is pretty poor quality, and starts to melt and deform when drilling into it (when it gets really hot).

This would be a good one for a side arm. Can you still buy these?
