Yeah, just saw it. Looks neat except for the fact that they hyped up their product once again with false advertisement, at least this time they're honest before selling, 15 metres? that's not even 60 feet, oh well it's like them to sell ranges as angled, I just hope 15 metres wasn't the angled range hahaha.

Have a look on the NERF channel on youtube. There is another video posted at the same time claiming 75ft (22M). I don't think the quite know what it is going to do just yet.

Looks like SgNerf is going to go out of business if these 12Clips make it out. People can finally use tact vests!

Don't you mean black tactical?
I highly doubt black tactical would go out of business, though they might have to sell at a cheaper price. That said, they are metal and some people might still pay for having the extra bit of durability.

You both make compelling arguments lol I was planning to buy a Metal 12 clip and at the reduced price it's still a good deal, but plastic 12 clips are only less than half a year away. Hmhmhmhmhmhmhmh. Lol.

Not a correct statement, there are MOLLE pouches that DO fit 18 round mags.

I know it has been mentioned before but:
I really can not get over the fact that on the original sizzle video they stated that 'all' of the elite blasters shoot up to 75 feet which in metres is roughly about 22.5 metres.
Then they upload a new in-depth video about the random crap the Retaliator comes with and they then state that the gun is "4 blasters in one", which is absolute horse shit because I am pretty sure a stock is not a blaster, and neither is a repainted Recon barrel, and a foregrip also maintains no chance in the world of being classified as a blaster. If they felt like it they even could have called the darts blasters too, just sayin'
And another thing, about the Retaliator which is relatively annoying is that as I said before, they stated that 'all' of the elite blasters shoot up to 75 feet, they have changed the range from 75 feet (22.5m) to 49 feet (15 metres) and the sneaky bastards tried to pull the wool over our eyes via changing from the imperial system into metric. I mean how dumb do you think we are (this statement is kinda pointless due to the fact these blasters are aimed a children who cbf about range)
and another thing about the Nerf Channel as a whole, Every Video Is Held For Comment Approval meaning we can't pick them up on these little things, we can't even give them constructive criticism
Just sayin'

well the original recon does say on the box, 4 blasters in one, and that's the number of variations you can make with the individual parts. they aren't calling the individual parts blasters per se. that said, repaint with new accessories, probably more than likely still RP. and the ranges aren't anything special, i get that 15m out of my modded recon. ITT hasbro releases a new shiny turd

I do believe this could be an epic fail. It's basically a recon update.

My opinion?
Meh.... just another repainted recon claimed as a "NEW!" blaster, lame lazy work by Nerf imho.

Congrats hasbro. It took you 12 months to attach a slightly modified longstrike stock to a recon.
I think what may have happened is that they spent way too much time on other blasters and this was a last minute throw together so managment didn't fire someone.

...I'm not sure if people are just adamant on making jokes at Hasbro's expense or people don't get it but the idea of N-Strike Elite is to essentially upgrade N-Strike guns, look at the Rampage...it's a Raider! The Retaliator is obviously meant to be a recon and the Hailfire is a Vulcan/Stampede Hybrid upgrade.

Why don't they just ask people what sought of blaster they want? We have people on here that design and build their their own.
Surely they aren't all stupid

The 10-12 year olds would say "We want a gun that looks like X from Y Shooter Game"
The 13-18 audience would want a gun that has super high ranges and a tacticool design
The adult audience would want a gun that's built more for bigger people, and ranges that can sting other adutls
It's like walking into an International Airport and asking 1 white man what he thinks everyone in the Airport should eat for dinner tonight.

How do you mean? Clunk does a lot of great modding work and does own a lot of nerf blasters, most modified, if anything he's one of the people Hasbro would frown upon, in all honesty. The entirety of this forum would be frowned upon by Hasbro due to about 75% of members being modders and painters.

I'm talking about the volume of blasters he buys. I think he could own 50% of Hasbro.

...and this is the reason why there needs to be a decent competitor to Nerf, so that if nerf does something that sucks, there is an alternative souce to get decent blasters from. Competition drives progression.

*Rubs hands together like old school villain*
Maybe we could all design a series of foam dart guns that look better, have better internals, and are all round better than Nerf...
For example, make them carry rechargeable batteries so no one gets disappointed at xmas when they get their new foam dart gun... with out the batteries. That's a winner straight up.

I would like to point out that this is a KIDS TOY designed for KIDS. We as modders are not the target market KIDS are. We only make a small propotions of the sales. If you wish to make better dart blasters then stop being arm chair critics go get a job prove your worth and design better blasters.

We hoard the damn things like crazy! Also, nerf did a poll on their facebook asking how many on there were over 18, and more than half were.
Also, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

1. To vote on face book you have to have a face book. So really a Moot point.
2.Hoarding something doesn't make you a target market or of any imporatance.

Yup, Since Nerf now specializes in Reverse-plunger systems, i think it would be fitting for the new dart gun company to be called 'Fren', to reverse their reverse-plunger systems (Direct plunger)
haha...
