Hey! sorry! I didn't realize i was logged in as my friend before (nightstalker) and i cant delete the outdated thread!

    Hi!
Just recently my recon's plunger broke during a war and I heard there was a complete metal internal parts including the catch, plunger (AR removed) and all the internals of a recon (metal edition) I also heard that someone was selling on eBay but I cant find it? Can someone maybe give me a link to a online store that sells this?

    Regards, Jack

Aussie based Nerfer, Chrisb, sells a bunch of aluminium parts. Be wary, he may or may not have things in stock, as he clearly states on his site that it's a hobby and doesn't take priority. http://arp.chrisb.id.au/

There's also a selection of aluminium parts for sale at Black Tactical (www.black-tactical.com/) but they may or may not have any stock also.

I purchased a Recon plunger tube from Black Tactical, but I found it required a lot of smoothing on the inside as it had tooling marks that caused friction on my o-ring, but it could have been the one off.

Other than that, spend a while Googling, you'll probably turn up a bunch of people who do it.

Black Tactical can be very expensive and Orange Mod Works is a bit cheaper.

    www.OrangeModWorks.com

A lot of members here will say Massacre and Unleashed kits are a waste of money but for metal parts OMW is the way to go Recon wise anyway, but Chrisb would probably be a first choice if he sold full kits and had more stuff in stock, and also his prices are fair but high. Black Tactical is WAY to expensive.

I reckon just get a replacement plunger tube from someone here for a couple dollars. Saves you money instead of forking out alot more for metal parts/orangemodworks kits which aren't always a simple install.

Put up a request in this thread

^ Seconded. Just make sure you put some foam padding in the bottom of the plunger to help cushion the blow. Oznerfnerd has some 4mm foam rubber discs specially developed for the task (HERE), so you could potentially get a plastic plunger tube replacement, and the rubber pads for $15-20 total, as opposed to forking out $40+ for aluminium or an OMW kit. Sufficient padding should prevent breakages, in most cases.

You should put 3day epoxy along with the padding. That way it will strengthen the plunger AND have padding at the same time.
