stampede motor upgrade? Empty stampede motor upgrade?

    Post  jessy1991 Thu Apr 26, 2012 11:21 am

    hey,
not sure if in the right section but i want to know if anyone has attemped a motor upgrade on the stampede
maybe to 9v or 12v, i want to do a major mod and i want more torque without burning out the motor
if you have any notes on it i would be grateful
also why is it a brass breach mod, i know you use brass piping but wouldnt copper or stainless serve just as well?
    thanks

OzNerfNerd used to sell upgraded Stampede Motors. But other then that, I have no knowledge of any other replacement motor.

You should message ONN to see if he has any left.

No, I'm not sure if they were Stampede motors or Vulcan Motors.

    Sorry.

Brass tubing fits other brass tubing. So a 9/16" fits into a 17/32" which fits into a 1/2", etc.

Also 17/32" and 9/16" brass tubing are used as a barrel material, as they provide the best fit for the dart. However brass is very very expensive.

PETG and 16mm electrical conduit are other suitable barrel materials which are a fraction of the cost of brass.

Before we go on, can you please use proper grammar, capitals, etc.

Copper is not usually used, as it is expensive, there are cheaper alternatives and the measurements are not suitable for barrels, plunger tubes, etc.

PVC on the other hand is widely used as it is cheap. It depends what you are using the PVC for. There are no PVC sizes relevant for barrel materials.

PVC is more used as a plunger tubes, etc.

So each material has their advantages and disadvantages. You will need to research and find the most suitable material yourself.

Yeah sorry im really shocking with grammer, The on ehting i never got in school lol
The only reason i suggest copper is because i know a couple of friges (refregiater trademens) on site and they gave me copper pipe that fit the normal streamline bullets perfectly. So i wantede to use that instead

That sounds great. Go ahead and use it as the barrel.

No that's fine, your correct in what you've said.

Those motors are difficult to source, and come in literally hundreds of configurations.

I wont have any for a while, if at all again.

Damn, that's a shame. Was really looking forward to getting a replacement Vulcan motor

Hope you do get some in the future though.
