Post count isn't going anywhere.
It's been here since day 1. It serves no purpose, nor does it do any harm. As for people posting to get their count up, well, that's been happening since day 1 as well. When you look at some of the dribble the Admin's have had to delete, people unable to abide by forum rules, the constant struggle with noob's wanting to be spoon-fed... post counts are the last of our problems.
