This idea was kind of tried before, but was called something along the lines of the 'honour' system. However, it was too abused. So it didn't really work out. Also, it makes people who are 'respected' obligated to be a jerk as well.

It's normally pretty easy to pick the people who know what they're talking about. If they write like an arrogant dickhead, they're probably an arrogant dickhead; if they write with purpose and actually answer people's questions, they're probably someone you can listen to.
Basically if what they're saying looks legit, it probably is. You'll figure out pretty quickly who talks bs.
