Has anyone had any experience with the Remedy Metal power train kit? They're $200 shipped, and are full stainless steel internals for the longshot, which is damn tempting. But I worry about the stress being transferred and breaking the shell itself.

A few of the SA guys over on AN ordered them, don't think they have arrived yet.

If you are using a relatively normal spring load(<20kg?)d I would not be too concerned about the shell breaking but it's all speculation so far.

Thanks spacemonkey, dunno what I did there haha.

I'd probably not use more than 14kg, as the Brisbane wars are limited to 40m flat. I think they only start shipping on tuesday according to their facebook. Would they work with pak d mags and short stefans?

If your worried about shell damage then a go over with E-putty in all the stress points/areas will keep it intact

You haven't personally posted it yourself. Drac did. Please don't use other people's work and make it sound like your own. Even though, I don't really like Drac at all lol.

Umm, I wouldn't buy the plunger rod / head itself. It's because you want your plunger to be moving as fast as it can to push out the air really quickly. Everything else I'd give it a shot though.

that's a good point, but I think it's the same price to just get the whole kit and you get an 11kg spring with it. I guess it wouldn't hurt to run the stock plunger until it breaks and use the stainless steel one as a spare. And of course, I'd still need padding. I'm really just considering this kit because I got a huge unexpected bonus from work, and really like the idea of shiny things in a longshot with xplorer grip as my main war blaster

I have purchased one of these kits and after its arrived and i have played with spring loads, will be testing a range of different spring loads with the biggest being about 25kg. But i will give the results of this testing after its i have completed it. For now i just need to wait for the kit too arrive, by my calculation that should be sometime in January.

Awesome. I guess this is what you'd use if you wanted to get the absolute maximum out of a longshot. I'd reckon 100 feet slight angle at 11kg?

Haven't seen an RM kit myself, only just found out about them this week (yeh, I don't keep up to date with pre-made modding kits surprisingly lol).

I have heard there's been some issues with dimensions of the bolt nub, and that affects the tolerance for it to fit in the sled...

    Cheers,
