    Hey all Storm here
    I have a strongarm i wish to paint black ( maybe have a go at a black/grey mix )

I have been told it would be best to learn to take apart the guns and ar mod first and such..
    What do you guys think?

I dont really want to mod the internals,, just painting..

And what type of paints should i use? i have some citadel warhammer black primer i was thinking of using up before i go buy some but when i do.. any particular brands?

    Also while im here..
One of my 2 strongarms seems to rotate the barrel with a longish delay but the other rotates right after firing, is this a problem? and does anyone else have this?

    Thanks all
    -Stormpegy

If you want to paint it, paint it.
If you don't want to mod the internals, don't.

That's really all there is to it. They're pretty different things.

Any tips for taking apart the blasters to paint them?
Like any little springs that can jump out, or parts that are tricky to get back in when re-assembling the blaster?
I wish to start with a strongarm, so any tips for painting strongarms?

    If you're worried about it...

Open the shell. Take lots of photos. Take more photos. Think about where you'll start the disassembly, then take more photos. Start the disassembly process, taking photos as you go. Put all the pieces in zip-lock bags. Tape any springs in place.

    Documentation is the key here.

I wouldn't paint your blaster black if you're planning to use it in a public war. It's not uncommon for the public to call the cops on you because they thought it was a bb gun or something.

Fluorescent pink with hologram glitter finished with a clear coat. This would look great, blind your opponent and be war legal anywhere.

Hey, dunno if you've painted your gun already,
At least it might help out in the future,

I recommend buying spray paint for plastics. (Vinyl paint maybe?)
The way its made, it kind of melts into the plastic, permanently colouring it
Instead of just coating the outside where it can peel and chip.

I can't remember exactly what its called but I but it from automotive shops
    Like super cheap auto.
Apparently its designed for spraying vinyl car seats and is about $15 per can.
Ask em for vinyl/plastic paint. They should know what choo talkin about, Willis
