C-386 spring from bunnings. $5. About as much power as a nightfinder can handle.

Also a barrel replacement would be in your best interest.. but what material to use greatly varies on what darts you use

When I use it with my nite-finder it adds at least 10-15 ft of range + It's sooooooo easy.

The "rubber band mod" that you're talking about, that is simply just putting rubber bands on the plunger to the blaster right? that's what I thought it was anyway.

When you use a C-836 its best to cut 2-3 coils off it, you will still get a hell of a lot of power just less chance of breaking the gun itself as it's under a great deal of stress.

Also you could add duct tape under the o-ring and/or add another o-ring and re-lube them that adds a good 15 feet.
The rubber band mod does help but it warps the plunger rod.

Man, that sounds like the biggest bullshit figure you have pulled out of your arse man. There is no way you can add 15feet (5 metres) from just making the O-Ring tighter mate. Maybe like 5ft, but that figure seems very unreasonable.

But yeah, a barrel replacement is MUCH better improvement. You can tell if it's "air tight' if you put the dart half way, and pull the plunger back... it should create a vacuum sucking the dart in... which means your plunger is good to go.

No bull 15 foot gain, My nightfinder is air tight and it vacuums it's very annoying because darts get sucked in to the plunger.

Wouldn't that break the dart when the plunger head snaps forward? Also what size would be good for a barrel replacement with cpvc I don't think the 2 bunnings in a radius of 10km have hep20.

    Prove it.

From everyone's research, it is not available in Australia.

I am getting some shipped in for me, and some friends on the forum. Depends how much I get.
But CPVC is a different chemical to PVC..or,Poly Vinyl Chloride, It has a slight change of texture, it is just another 13mm pipe out there, only popular from uin13's quote" C!!!PVC, not PVC!"
Nothing special, But I guess us Aussies do have a lack of descent 13mm'ers.

I have done this before, adds a bit of power but not HEAPS!

Get some soft wire, solder works very well for this.
Wrap it behind the o ring, wrap it 2 layers thick and 2 layers high. this will push the o ring forward and therefore expanding it.
Next, wrap that with Teflon tape, maybe 2-3 rotations. reinstall it. You want it to be air tight (almost) but not TOO tight.
Then, add some grease around the Teflon, this will help with the seal.
Lastly add a good drop of hobby oil on the grease (this is plastic safe and i think is the best lube you can use).

I am not too sure how this compares with the "Rubber Band Mod", but it worked well when i was modding my friends gun.

Maybe everyone isn't a tradesman or a very cluey human being.
We aren't all 15 year olds.

I'm not snap shotting someone's work van in my workplace, which is a breach of workplace ethics, just to prove you wrong about some plastic pipe.

The cpvc used in nerf is NOT chlorinated PVC but rather COPPER SIZED PVC.

Also who gives a shit? 16mm DWPVC electrical conduit has virtually the same fit, in my oppinion it is better than HEP20 for stock dart/blue foam barrels as it will not flex when used in longer barrels. Not going to be an issue for a night finder but hey.
