It doesn't really need any changes just clone the original.

I did make one change, I removed the lib on the bottom lug
As you can see the end of the plunger is flat

I have a lathe and a CNC mill
I believe I have a raider plunger, it has 2 horizontal tabs about 1/4 way up the tube?
The L shape plunger will most likely need to be custom extruded or milled from one big squre block, either way costly. A better option would be to make 2 parts and screw them together. The main problem is getting stock just big enough that can be machined down to size
    I was thinking $50/plunger

    Yes, and i have one
I don't have any to take measurements from and see what can be done, but that's what I mean.
Just epoxy?? at least machine screw it together drilling and tapping holes is easy
Is the tail part 6" long?

Modify the sled, add more aluminium some where, how about a dove tail? split pin? bolt and lock nut?
    I should just buy one

If you're making one, how much are you going to be selling it for. I'd pay $30 + the postage (probably $5.60 for that).

    Btw wood prototype is sexy.

If you can make one for the longstrike to I'd buy one or any reverse plungers. You could probably make a business with this lol.

More then just the price of aluminium, labour and profit, there is also the cost of tooling and running the equipment
To make the plungers out of a single solid block the majority of the inside and outside has to be removed
    STL file format
There is more involved then just putting it through a CAM program and then sending it off to the mill

What's a reverse plunger look like?

i thought you meant reverse plunger for the longstrike, you mean the boltsled for the longstrike and the plunger for the other guns
What about an aluminum direct plunger for the longstrike

The Longstrike may aswell shoot, I mean drop, logs. The length of the log would go further than the actual dart.

Hmm. I'd say the Recon and Raider are the most popular guns. But ALL reverse plungers will break once the AR is removed.

I definitely would be interested in one for the raider. I could possibly send you one in Pro/Desktop format if you like? Seeing as CAD is the go for CNC machines. I just removed the ARs and the notion that it WILL break is not good.

Yeah that would seem to be most cheapest part to decrease the amount of cost on your boltsled. However! How would those two connect o.O/

Read the previous posts, as well as the review on SG Nerf.

Of course we know the SG Nerf has done it. Where do you think we got the idea from??

It also says that the boltsled isn't SG Nerf's. It belongs to a friend who commissioned it from a fabrication
    company.

If you can't contribute anything useful or insightful, then don't post at all; but at least you tried.

Remember to read all the posts on the topic before posting.

Umm, i think he may have been refering to where the boltsled splits in two. If you watch the video you can see the vertical piece slides into the horizontal piece.

Just to clarify, the Longshot aluminium bolt sled i reviewed is my own set.

The aluminium bolt sleds were ordered via a forum group order organised by hanzo (NerfSG member and modder), kudos to him for going through all the time and effort liasing with the metal fabrication company to get the proper design and fit.

All in more than a dozen forum members ordered the bolt sleds, so quite few chaps are already using them in SG.

If you guys got any questions about it, just check with hanzo over at the NerfSG forum.

First of all, calm down, zerometal is right, I can see the join, its right where I'd put it, then overlap the vertical and horizontal pieces and screw them together. That will be plenty strong enough.
You can only get aluminium in certain sizes, there is no point in not using as much of the given stock as possible. I know what I'm doing I do similar kinda crap in wood
