So I was looking at the disassembled Longshot and was putting a dart into the barrel and I noticed an awful lot of room in between the dart and the barrel and I remembered I had some aluminium rod laying around size is 16mm X 1.0mm after slotting a dart into it I noticed it was a much more snug fit. Other size tubes may fit better but this is what I had.
So next step was to assemble the barrel and breech and slide the aluminium tube down the muzzle and into the barrel and mark the end with...something...
Cut the aluminium rod, a Dremmel would be easiest but I didn't find my cutting bit until after I'd already cut it so I used a hacksaw instead.
Unfortunatly I can't cut worth a damn so I ended up with a bit extra and it was a bit crooked. I'm unsure if an uneven cut will skew the dart because my haven't had a chance to reassemble it yet.
Tidy up the inside of the end you just cut I used a sanding attachment on my Dremmel to keep it easy then using a buffer attachment I buffed the inside to make it smooth and rubbed the inside using a sock for the bits my Dremmel bit wouldn't reach so it offered as little resitance to the dart and airflow as possible.
That's the end of the photos but using some epoxy slather liberally it around the outside of the aluminium tube and slide it down the orriginal barrel, be careful not to stick the new barrel to the muzzle, the breech or the breach attachment.
DISCLAIMER:
I've not tested this yet as my longshot is still being painted. Do this mod at your own risk I will report when I get it all together and working. To the best of my knowledge this will work perfectly fine unsure if it will work the Angel Breech or the Singled Mod but will be testing it with an Angel Breech in the coming days but I can't imagine that it won't. Also may want to test fit any Stefans to ensure they'll sit in here a different sized rod might be better for you.
Hope this has helped someone!
