    Recon Jamming Empty Recon Jamming

Post  jamesski Sun Oct 17, 2010 5:11 am

    I just bought a recon.

i was using it for 5 minutes. then it kept jamming.
and when i look down the barrel when i am cocking it. at the front of the barrel, there is some gate thing that is on a spring. the dart gets jammed on that

I don't really think this deserves its own thread. We have a place for questions like this, the aptly named "Questions" thread.
    Questions thread.

As to your problem. My recon does this too. Occasionally, a dart will not fire, and sit inside the bolt. Then, when you go to cock/load the next dart, it gets shoved into that dart lock, before it has a chance to open. Try taking the clip out of your gun, and looking inside, see if there's a dart stuck/jammed in there somewhere. Your other option is to remove that dart lock, but that is kind of fiddly.

If you are fitting 7 darts into your clip, then thats most likely causing, or not helping the problem. Even though you CAN fit seven darts its called SIX clip system, therefore they must have made it for six clips. Or the mass producing monkeys they trained at the back of a zoo in China just can't count.

It's a recon. It jams. Prime it smoothy and you shouldn't have a problem.

    Also, use fresh darts.

Yeah. The recon can't handle fast priming.

Or a furyfire. *Shrugs* They make effective sidearms.

Magstrike's are fun as well. There's really only one response to be fired at by one of those, and that is to swear loudly and hit the deck and pray hahaha.

I don't understand why Recon is so popular and people kept buying it, when so many other people complaining it for its jamming problem and mediocre performance.

Pulled apart what, Recon or longshot?

    Sweet.

Now i can't see where the cocking slide hooks onto the barrel to load it

There's a few grooves in the side of the main framer of the Recon, the priming handle slips into those.
