Aluminium Longshot Breech Empty Aluminium Longshot Breech

    Post  TheBradl3s Sun Oct 31, 2010 10:27 am

OK, this is not a writeup, but I wanted to explain this a bit more and get some feedback, which I cant do in the pictures only post.

So here is my longshot pretty simple, with a mega missile intergrated into the front, I dub it the 'RapeShot CS-RAPE'

    Aluminium Longshot Breech Img2378v

The mega missile is couplered so it doesn't just have to use the shotgun attachment

    Aluminium Longshot Breech Img2379s

now comes the interesting part, the Aluminum breech, which I designed (this one anyway)
So looking at it you see the stock breech...

    Aluminium Longshot Breech Img2381t

The you open it up and are like, "where is the bolt tooth? whats that black stuff?"

    Aluminium Longshot Breech Img2382h

Well that black stuff is E-Tape wrapped around 12mm Alu to make it fit nicer into the 16mm Alu, the seal isn't fully airtight, but I haven't perfected it yet, but could be easily made airtight.

It works nicely, the dart is pushed up, and it doesn't pop out, then the 12mm Alu pushes it into the 16mm ALu and it shoots and very nicely I might add, around 70-80ft flat! and always accurate, unlike those pesky streamlines. so yeah! Comment and tell me what you like as I would like some feedback on this!
If people request it, I may make a more in-depth writeup on how to do this and the benefits of it compared to an angel breech or Tidge's Alu Breech.

well, the whole point of this was to not use brass, so if you want to use brass, you might as well make an angle breech

The barrel is 16mm Alu, witch is to loose for streamlines.

Theres not a good size alu that fits streamlines.

but you could probably experiment this method with 9/16 brass.

9/16 brass is to big, you mean 17/32 brass

    What about 5/8 Alu

No i mean 9/16, 17/32 is a pain with stock size darts.

    Once again, a fantastic mod.

Isn't aluminum a bit too loose?

I don't find my darts to be too loose but it could be better but meh. For some reason this also works well with streamlines, i don't know why but it does.
