I just fut 'AOB' around the dart tip(my initials) best way to mark them.

Just to show how I make my stefans, I have moulded the tips with Buzz Bee suction cups:
What would help are pictures (if you have any) that will help identify your darts so that we know what to look for during dart sweeps. Thanks.
