Thanks for that - I'm guessing that's inches.. because no way that thing is 22.5 centimetres long. But wow.. 22.5 inches, that's nearly a 2 foot gun. By comparison a Furyfire is about 15 inches. It should be about the same length as a Tommy 20.

With the " after the number, that's definitely inches.
The more I think about this one, the more I realise that with blasters that have a shotgun grip, I prefer pressing on the front rather than gripping the sides and pulling back. Especially with heavier springs. Could probably chop a good 1-2" off the back of the handle and still be happy, that combined with a plunger replacement would be sweet.

I'm much more of a pump action person jsut because it's MUCH more ergonomic rather than doing what 238232 said. Quicker shots too.

I've found a pre-release pricing for the Turbo-fire in Germany - 35 Euro, plus shipping costs of 30 Euro ($45 and $40 AUD respectively).
Obviously pricing will no doubt change before it's actually released, but it's not a bad indication really. Probably around the $50 AUD, which isn't too bad of a price IMO. Of course, I wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase this in EU, as our dollar always struggles against it. Pretty sure that Amazon/Fishpond will have their hands on them fairly shortly after official release.
I'm not really sure why a German company has this pre-order info, as Zuru toys (see recently Guru) are based in China...
FYI - shipping weight of blaster is 2000 grams.

Hmm, that means the turbofire might be a bit pricey. I was kind of hoping around $30 as many would think the "Thundershot" would of been an expensive blaster due to it's 'mechanism' and size of purchase. However, that blaster only costs $25 at K-mart.
Finger's cross if it's cheap as it would be a great blaster to have for a developing Nerf community.

I'm not getting my hopes up about this thing. The short priming stroke will be a killer for plunger replacement, and Xshot have a history thus far of making below average guns. I personally couldn't bring myself to spend more than $40 when there's a stampede in the same aisle.

The only half decent blaster so far is the X-Shot stealth. Unfortunately the plunger rod's structure is fairly weak. However, you know what they say, REINFORCEMENT is key for modifying blasters (not really what they say, but it should be the mindset).

Ehh???
Not exactly sure what you're reading from my post, I'm talking about pressing on the front of the shotgun grip, so in the case of the Turbofire, having my hand on the diagonal front bit of the pump (circled in red) instead of gripping the sides/bottom of it (circled in blue).

I don't think I'd buy the Maverick, but I'd definitely go for the longstrike, if I had the spare cash

You're right, but a nice BT spring wouldn't go astray. I very much want the Whiteout Maverick, I'll transfer my Yellow Mav's BT spring to it.

I love the look of the Longstrike! I just wish I could buy Singaplastics PVC here so I could put an R3L inside it.

That Whiteout Longstrike looks even better than the blue one. I may actually consider getting it!
Yes, I know it has dismal ranges and all that, so no need to go on about it. Part of playing with Nerf is how the product looks anyway, and this new Longstrike fits that perfectly.

Those are simply concept pictures. The only known white-out guns out so far are the Longstrike and the Maverick (and probably the Recon)

I'm building an R3L, Oxy haven't built the catch and trigger yet, don't want to mess up the PVC I have, as it cost me a fortune to get it here.
The Mav looks really nice, but I like custom paint jobs. May get one of each different types of Mavs and leave them NIB, as collectors things.

Oxy, I can see a PAS' internals fitting quite nicely in to a Longstrike...

Or you could always put a MM in there and got the air powered way :).

Lol. Air power is so good, but so impractical. We need to build a compact pump with a huge plunger tube diameter, so it can move a whole tank of air in one or two pumps. Otherwise, a Springer with a 40kg spring and plunger tube that's tucked away, with a diameter of 100mm, that is somehow easy as pie to prime.
Yeeiw..

Have you tried priming 22kg yet? Pretty bloody hard unless you're a massive fellow. You havent' seen enough mods on here yet! Pump replacement two pumps on air guns, cheap and practical. If it takes more than 2 pumps it's generally impractical. Then again, I must be misinterpreting sarcasm over the internet <,<. Ok it's sarcasm, I just noticed o.O.

Time to beef up those arms to cock it, or operate it like a crossbow (various ways to draw the string) or a PIAT.
Note: That bloke is doing it wrong, even though he's a supposed instructor...
