Holsters Have Arrived Empty Holsters Have Arrived

Post  Synergie Wed Dec 29, 2010 3:29 am

Thanks to the incompetence of my Hong Kong eBay seller, he has sent me TWO Thigh Holsters for the price of one, I'm unsure what I will do with the second holster at the moment. Anyway, here are the pictures!

    Holsters Have Arrived 29122010134.th
    Holsters Have Arrived 29122010136.th
    Holsters Have Arrived 29122010137.th
    Holsters Have Arrived 29122010138.th
    Full view.
Holster Close-Up, Notice the Mag Pocket in the front, I can put six darts in for the Mav.
    Mag compartment close-up.
The OTHER holster I received, exactly the same one.

I suppose I can take expressions of interest for the other holster, it's no use to me as it is meant to be worn on your right leg and since I only have one of those I have no use for this one.

EDIT: Before mods decide to move this thread, please don't as the primary purpose of the thread was to show off the holster, if mods require me to, I will edit this thread to only show the holster and I will open a full blown FS thread, however, at the moment I'm only appealing for expressions of interest.

Can you explain what isn't working? The images are simply hosted on imageshack, which I have found is almost fool-proof.

My Playstation 2 steering wheel from ebay still hasn't arrived.
    You're lucky.
You know, I think there might be something wrong with paypal. My foam order from Inf0rm3r isn't working because he hasn't got the payment yet.

Did you have any trouble with Australian custom? Because when you try to order it on Ebay, they post a warning message to check with Australian custom.

Is that the thigh holster, for $24.95? I've been thinking of getting one of them. Is it any good?

Of course that eBay listing is the same holster! No issues with customs as by law, it is not a gun or part of a gun.

EDIT: Brunius, I have no idea what you're looking at but if you follow my link provided above it will take you to an eBay auction with item ID: 30496888464 (In other words, go to ebay and search the ID)

Link works just fine on my bitchy little laptop.

What blasters have you tested in the holster so far? just the maverick or anything else? does it seem to have a reliable stitching? can that little pouch be removed easily? is it easy to blindly holster your maverick?

Because if i can buy a holster like this for this cheap i'll have a workable pattern to go off to make some custom holsters of my own in various materials.

adjustment should allow it to sit higher on the leg, up the thigh proper, as it uses a standard clip there should be an adjustment there.

failing that duct tape and some safety pins would hold it up quite well aswell lol

Holsters Have Arrived Empty Holster size?

Post  whichgrep Mon Jan 31, 2011 10:52 am

Brunius wrote:Is that the thigh holster, for $24.95?

No, go down the page (on the ebay ad) a bit. It's a real holster for a real firearm -- the ThinkGeek one is a pouch to carry geek stuff, like multimeters and sliderules and Stargate DVDs :-)

Xoenz wrote:it fits my spectre perfectely!

I've never seen a spectre in person, so I don't know how big it is.

I'm not sure what a "COLT GLOCK M9 SIG" is ... The Glock 17/19 seem to be large pistols, while the Steyr M9 is quite small (but I have big hands) ...

You've got a pocket for a pistol magazine there; but it doesn't look like it's big enough for a Nerf clip.

What's the size of the holster like for, say, a Maverick, Nite Finder, or Barricade?

    thanks,

    aro

Spectre is a slimmer version of a maverick, yet longer. It seems that the holster was made to fit it. The maverick on the other hand is a pretty tight fit and will not draw as quickly and smoothly as the spectre. My nitefinder will also fit but it too is abit wide for easy drawing, my barricade has no hope of fitting in as it is way to big and wide.

I assume you are just joking right? Because the Stampede clips will just slip through the bottom of the holster and fall onto the ground. If you stick the bottom velcro strap on, the clips will be too long to sit inside and come flying out everywhere when you run.

    GeneralPotatoes wrote:Would a Recon fit?

Not well because Recon pistol is too tall.

People don't realize this holster is actually small, blasters with small front-on profile can fit in (e.g. Nite Finder, Spectre). I have tried it with Maverick and it is just too small. I have to unstrap the holster and strap the whole thing on in my own custom way in order to fit Maverick well.

That is absoultey right, very difficult to reholster a maverick without taking off thre straps which isn't really a concern, but I just love the texas style of slipping the spectre in with a smooth move.

It fits much easier than the maverick does, at least it does in my holster. (part of the reason I like the spectre so much)
