Want to brass breech your longshot but don't want to fork out for a Dremel?

Scared that you will do something wrong and ruin the $40 worth of brass you bought for the job?

In a hurry for your brass breech and want to cut down on molding/curing time?

Can't find anywhere local that stocks the 4 sizes you need?

If your answer is yes to any of the above than maybe I can help you out.

What I'm offering is all the brass required to make your Streamline size dart accepting Longshot breech, cut exactly to size and de-burred with a Dremel, tightening rings in the barrel and the bolt section pre glued to save you time and effort.

Here is the first kit. It's been cut, de-burred and polished. Ready now for tightening rings and glue.

    No longer for sale D9b60702

The best part is the price!

$30 is all you need to pay (plus a few $ postage if not in Brisbane)

The first to reply to this thread or send me a PM will also get postage for fee!

    Cheers

Put me down for one also. Do you do half or quarter?

Edit: Might I suggest the sydney siders get it all in 1 batch. I don't mind driving around for deliveries (will be a sunday) as long as it ain't extremely out of my way (sorry eastern suburbs, I just don't know the roads - meet up in the city?).

Sounds good meeting up in city, I will have one order too to try out. I will PM Oxymoron for one order. Cheers.

Ok wow, I wasn't really expecting this level of interest. Maybe I should be charging more lol.
Be aware I won't be able to ship these for a couple of weeks as I only get limited time to play with my "toys".

sd_type - I use the half barrel method as I prefer the nice secure fit this gives to the clips.

matt.chopper - The barrel will accept blue foam and streamlines. I wasn't able to use the Clark Rubber FBR stefans in mine as they are too wide. Can't comment on other stefans sorry. Maybe wider stefans would work without the tightening rings?

    Orders so far:

    matt.chopper x 1
    clunk07 x 1
    2120 x 1

    SYDNEY ORDER
    sd_type x 1
    Akimbo Assassin x 1
    dandaldaks x 1

It isn't the price, that is fine it's just in sydney its hard to find brass. BTW did I mention that Manly Vale (my suburb) is in Sydney? so literally I live in Sydney too.
Put me on the list of Sydney please.

Every local hobby store should have some. Hobbyco in QVB has some, though when I checked a month ago they didn't have 17/32 and 9/16. So I went to my local one.

But yeah I totally don't have the confidence in my skills to make a brass breech. And I bought 3 feet of brass, I've barely had to use it (cause I don't know how mainly) and it cost me $24.
So I'd like to have an order please cause I want to borrow my friend's LS and mod it.

Oh and I prefer it to be posted to my place, even if it means extra postage. I might grab a few more things for you to make it more efficient[b]

Ok so now the list looks like:

    matt.chopper x 1
    clunk07 x 1
    2120 x 1
    melbnerf619 x 1

    SYDNEY ORDER
    sd_type x 1
    Akimbo Assassin x 1
    dandaldaks x 1
    Xoenz x 1

I'm going to have to cap it there for now or I'll be doing nothing but cutting and gluing for the next 3 weeks and my wife will shoot me.

I'll send a PM to everyone on the list regarding postage and payment.

I will take more orders but only if you are willing to wait a few weeks.

Xoenz, your order is fine. I'll put you in the Sydney list too. If you could pay a deposit that would be great. Bank details are in the PM.

I Also realised I didn't change the postage costs to suit the group order. It will be $12 to post all 4 sets so $3 per person.

Just to address a question I was asked via PM and to make sure there is no confusion...

I am selling the brass components of a brass breech only. You will still be required to cut up your stock bolt and glue it to the brass as per the instructions on Mod Works. It is still an intermediate level mod to ensure everything lines up correctly before being glued and it may take a little adjustment at the end to ensure perfect operation.

Edit: Further to that, modding your longshot is at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for any broken longshots caused by failed attempts to install the breech.
Or for any damage to household items once the breech is complete due to the epic pwnage ability of this mod. I've been banned from using my LS in the house as i'm starting to chip paint off the walls

Will you be doing the cut upgrade that allows for loading when the breech is open?

Edit I am in Brisbane so I will probably pick up one or two of these sometime next month.

That mod doesn't make too big of a difference. I made the original breech and if you remove all the locks you can still slide the bolt sled forward and backwards even when cocked. i.e. You can cock it, close it, insert mag and then open / close the breech to load it fine.
