What's up with your avatar? [EXPLANATION POSTS ONLY!]

I have wondered about some of the choice of avatars that our fellow forums members use.
Sure, there are plenty of obvious ones, like photos of themselves and/or a sample of their gear, while others use video game characters that are known to be proficient in firearms.
However, some avatars leave you wondering, "What is that?", simply "WTF?".

Rather than responding to a PM, or making a side post in a thread unrelated to the explanation of avatars, I have initiated this thread as a sort of self-FAQ, where you post your avatar and explain yourself.

I encourage those with at least somewhat obscure avatars to post here, but those with obvious ones are welcome to join in.


General format:

• Post avatar image
  

This is so we have a permanent reference, in case you change your avatar in the future.
Use http://imageshack.us or some other image hosting server to upload your picture.

• Describe and explain

Keep it concise, as most people are not interested in reading an analytical thesis on your choice of avatar.

It could be as simple as, for examples:
(1) "It's a picture my own Octo-shot, which I finished last week."
(2) "I like my VB, so here's a photo of it. Taken on my workdesk, 3am on the Sunday morning after a late night out."

But you can be detailed as well. Just don't yak on and draw it out.
Example:
"Me with a modded Maverick. AR removed, stack of 5 cents mod, laser and LEDs. Tactical webbing from eBay for XX dollars, including postage. See link. Holds 6 6-round magazines on pouches at the front, plus plenty more on the back pouches for my Longshot slung on my back. I also got the leg holster from Ebay as well."

You get the point.

PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD CLEAN. ONLY POST TO EXPLAIN YOUR AVATAR!
Also, please avoid crass details as well. So, I recommend that sensitive topics should be avoided.

This was when all my Tact Vest arrived in the mail and I wanted to post for shits and giggles in the Camera - History behind Adelaide AJ raged at me because he thought it was useless and continued on with a 2-3 paragraph essay on why it was crappy. I just told him I want somewhere I can carry my clips so no one elses touches them.

This one has one of the stormfires I've gotten. It was pretty cool :D. It's probably still my first avatar for a very long time and probably won't be changed at all. It's just a reminder of how far I've come from Nerf. I don't even use that tactical vest anymore. I just use a utility belt and pouches / NF holster. The NF I don't even use!
@Mull - I've watched the Gunslinger Girl series - very good series, somewhat sad and slow. However, still a great anime. Season 1 was much better than Teatrino II though because they went ahead and changed the 'animation style' to modern anime art - which was lame since you lost the uniqueness of the Anime.

I'm a bit of a gym-junkie. It's pretty much a requirement for priming my Longshot's!! lol

This is the logo from one of the brands of work-out clothing that I wear.

It's from a youth camp site near Richmond, on the outskirts of Sydney. It's supposed to indicate that trespassers are not welcome, but having played CoD, this was taken out of context. I didn't have a nerf photo when I got asked to put up an avatar, so it sufficed.

Plus being a slight color purple, I can easily distinguish my posts from most people's lol

mine is a sculpture my dad's art class made, the picture was just lying on my desktop, as phuonguyen had told me to update my profile, I didn't want to get banned, so I chose it, I have no intention of changing it.

Mine is an Octo-shot i finished the other week.

I've now painted it in a paint theme from a video game, anyone play Zombies from COD? Well i did a packa-punch theme with engraved runes, etc. Made a rather large, rear custom pvc-perspex stock, and mounted an bright blue led on the top with the batteries mounted within the handle.

My avatar is of my newest mannequin, it is a life like fiberglass type, which is known to freak out TheBrad3ls
