Yeh, I've been using Swiss Navy or 4 season's on a few of my blaster's as well. Available from Woolies, just like Dietzie said.

Is there an age restriction? My nerf guns need some more.

I guess I'll be off to woolies soon, time for some begging and pleading...

The problem is that you need to get your parents to drive you, at woolies they can do the shopping while you hunt for lube.

You've got to be kidding me...

My sister only just left working at Sexyland about a month ago, giving me 50% staff discount. I would've stocked up on some fun lube if I known it was silicone based.

Anyway, go to a hobby shot and look for some RC Shock absorber lube 7000 something. Its clear and is a thick liquid in a bottle.. thing.

    Its great stuff.

I actually went to my local hobby store in Dandenong and the only lube they had was a very small tube for $8.50. I'd rather get the condom lube

Hobby store lube is ok, but i found it was still too grippy.
Works ok, but still restricts the plunger, well the stuff i bought anyway.

    Said pure silicone oil also.

Well, with mine, I brought that too, but i found it gets more 'lubier' after a bit of use.

and I Was just giving different options.

Aye fun time lube is great for nerf guns, I had a bottle of silicon based stuff that I used to test out a maverick mod. Works a treat.

Don't ask why I know, but not all personal lube is silicon-based.

Just be sure to get the right stuff, and please, everyone, practice safe Nerf!! If it's not on - it's not on!!

Hasbro and other companies seem to use a more watery lubricant rather than the thicker stuff I've seen around.

Although the thicker lube creates a good air seal as well, it can slow down the plunger as some people have said.

Looks like we need a mix between the two.

The pics i posted of the lube tubes is the best by far.
I wont be using anything else now.

iIf anyone is interested, i'll send a couple of tubes to the first person who replies, but you have to be Melb based.

This is a tricky area while modding:

You have silicone grease, This is designed to reduce wear and tear on moving parts such as gears. this is why is thicker and seem more "grippy"

Lubricant on the other hand is designed to reduce friction in between parts like plungers and tubes this allows them to slide freely back and forth.

If i need to clear anything up or add more detail freel free to ask.

I wouldn't mind giving it a try, however, I'm quite capable of hunting it on my own.

The youngers ones will have more to gain from your offer, as it will save them plenty of trouble.

Yeh, that's gonna look awesome if their parents open it up - a tube of lubricant from an Adult male to a teenage boy!!!

May I suggest squeezing it in to another unmarked bottle!!!!

This is very true, Some is water based and others are oil based. Be sure it's silicon based. Water based does work but obviously it will come off in water and wont repel condensation. Be very sure it doesn't have glycerol in it as bacteria can feed on that and the last thing you want is a biofilm gumming up your blaster. Jo brand lube is water based but contains no glycerol.

I know way too much about personal lubes

    Damn Psykka.

We should appoint you guru of lube? Hehe.

Well today i just got home, i grabbed the octo and when i fired it, it was like i had just lubed it.

I have a ghostface(scream) target that i shoot at, darts are nearly going through it. I shoot darts through the mouth and they collect into a box. With other lubes, i never had this much power....simply uber.

Don't be surprised if it destroys o-rings. Nerf o-rings are made of different material than the ones designed for industrial use. I'm pretty sure I've covered this before in a few different threads.

Probably worth a try though, at that price.
