ACCC on Ebay Empty ACCC on Ebay

Post  oznerfnerd Sun May 15, 2011 10:14 am

I'm just wondering about something I've been getting for a while when I list my items on ebay.

Just before I relist, I sometimes get a message referring to ACCC rules.

I've always just clicked the "yeah, I'll be good" button and carried on.

Now I've had a UK buyer tell me he got a message of sorts from them when he went to buy one of my items.

I wonder what that's all about??

    1. Copyright?

I use the word nerf, but clearly state we are not affiliated in anyway, and that it's a MOD part.

    2. Some sort of keyword?

Shot, blaster, etc. Could these be "naughty" words that bring down an automated response?

    3. LASER cut?

As lasers are pretty much banned now in this country, could this be a "naughty" word?

    It's got me buggered.

It must be some type of automated response, as I can't see them being interested in me and my pieces of aluminium and rubber.

My products seem pretty tame compared to some of the things you see out there.

    Anyone had this experience?

I get that as well when I put blasters on eBay.
A common word I use between them is probably 'blaster', 'gun' etc.

I get that as well, but I avoid using terms like "gun", as I'm not normally an IDIOT!!

I do the legal disclaimer, as well as the copyright infringement disclaimer.

Maybe the trigger word is blaster...

Oh yeh with this ACCC thing, it doesn't really interfere with he transaction, all the buyer has to do is click 'continue/i acknowledge that' .
