11'' K26 spring buying thread (Stronger than V2)

If it's only 'slightly' stronger than a v2 it's still lame anyway. Think of it this way. Compare the compression between the v2 and k26. There are way to many coils which make it less 'springy'. k26 in homemades would be pretty mad though.

And cut in half, it will be quite a lot less powerful than a C-836 spring.
K-26 is perfect for home mades and not too much else I dont think

You cant fit a whole 11" spring into a longshot plunger tube...

I got that information off Uin13 and Coop772 who use it with most of their longshots.

Have you EVER used/modified a longshot? To use a k26 in a longshot, you have to CUT IT DOWN TO SIZE.
I am honestly shocked you thought a 11" spring would fit in the longshot then, if it were, it would essentially be a Nerf Brand, Clip fed +bow... and it would be like... much bigger than it already is...

I think these may be a good addition to a PAS - at least you can make them the right size.
Chalk me down for a couple if this is still going ahead.

No worries mate. I already ordered but luckily i've got about 6 spares and from what i've heard, they are commonly used in the PAS.

Yeh, the PAS would be excellent. Longshot is the only spring I've got laying around that is long enough to not rattle around in the PAS, but it's weak as shit. I want a strong mother! Lol.

Well that's odd...
Anyway, I'll send payment as soon as you actually receive the springs.

Sorry for the delay guys, but the company only got the springs shipped a week ago. I will keep everyone as up to date as I am.
I've factored in the spares and there will be quite a few. When the springs arrive at my door, i shall post pictures and update and then if you are still interested, PM me.Genacon wrote:I would like to order one of these springs if you have one spare when they arrive.

What's a CS-18 ? I suppose you mean Alpha Trooper - you probably could, but you'd risk breaking it.

Correct a Alpha Trooper CS-18.
If this isn't a suitable spring replacement then do you know of one?

A K-26 is a very powerful spring, which is great in a Longshot, or a PAS or plusbows or snap bows (if you know what those are).
But in answer to your question : here is a better suited spring http://black-tactical.com/store/weapon-accessories-foam-gun-parts-c-69_30/spring-for-nerf-longstrike-alpha-trooper-recon-v2-p-604.
Also, if you have any further questions about anything, please direct yourself to the questions thread - its a lot easier to find help there because everyone will have a chance to shed some knowledge , and not just people in this thred

Go for the ebay option listed above. The seller is a member here and it is a proven kit.

Yep, oxy's right, I've tested the kit, and it's very good (as far as reverse-plunger blaster's go).
@Melbnerf - any update on arrival of the springs mate?

Not yet for some reason but I am really hoping for it to be here soon because it came on first class shipping. Has anyone had experiance of timing from US to AUS?
i've been trying to keep everyone up to date with the order there is something wrong with the tracking number.

First class has bugger all in the way of tracking unless you paid extra for something. Once it leaves the US you'll just stop getting updates.
I generally give it two weeks, although I've had one package arrive in 5 days.
