No need to brag but these are your best bet for a homemade. Used by most of the american nerfers.

Your barrel looks really loose, like you're dropping it in. Perhaps that, plus a good spring and a trigger?
BTW, you look very young for a 12Y/O or am I over sized?

hey guys, another question if I may.
How much does a C836 spring cost and what part of Bunnings can I find it? My dad seriously DOES NOT believe me that I say Bunnings sells springs.

Each store has a slightly different layout, so just ask any staff there.chiiia wrote:hey guys, another question if I may.

I've found them in either door fittings, or screws and bolts aisle, throughout the 4-5 stores I've dropped by.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Question re Stefans;
I'm working on converting my batch of streamlines by adding some weight; 00 sinkers and hot glue in the tip.
So, I went into a fishing shop and asked for 00 sinkers, and the person there was telling me that most of the sinkers are sorted not by 'size' but by weight. A quick google told me that 00 sinkers can actually range from 2 all the way to 4.5 grams, and those ones look pretty beastly!
I was wondering what weight people use on here when they make their own? Or if any Melbournians can tell me where I can go to by them.
Cheers in advance.

Mate, they're leading you up the proverbial garden path at the fishing shop. Every sinker I've bought has been categorised by size.
Regardless, you'd be better off going to Kmart etc. You only want cheapo sinker's, and that's where you'll get the best deal.
Cheers,

I think stores in Brisbane doesn't actually sell those 'value packs'. I've checked over 5 k-marts and have yet to find a packet. Oh well, I can get washers for half the price and still get the same dart results and are easier to make lol.

For the 32mm bath plug plunger head for the quad shot, do you have to replace the plunger tube with the 40mm pvc or is that an optional thing?

You need to replace the stock plunger tube with a slightly larger ID. If you're wanting to retain the orange endcap for the TS, then 32mm pressure-PVC is the only pipe that will work. You'll need to carve away carefully at the orange cap to allow it to be reused with the 32mm pressure-PVC.evozn wrote:For the 32mm bath plug plunger head for the quad shot, do you have to replace the plunger tube with the 40mm pvc or is that an optional thing?
If you're thinking about upstroking the plunger tube entirely, you can opt to use the 40mm DWV downpipe-PVC coupled with the 40mm flat Vinedex endcap. Be aware that the OD may place a slightly tight fit inside, and as a result you may want to stick with 32mm pressure-PVC instead. I have the write-up somewhere in the mod directory to address your concerns.

Re: The Questions Thread.
You can use a 32mm bath plug in a stock plunger tube. I used a Boston brand one in my TS with no trouble and no excess friction.

Re: The Questions Thread.
I have found the Boston-branded bathplugs are too tight to be used in the stock plunger. Makes me think that my comment about variances in the way these TSs are made has been verified.
My comment still stands though...

Re: The Questions Thread.
I have been trying to rebarrel my nitefinder with no success so I hope one of you may be able to help.
I have found a 15mm couple from bunnings and i have found some PVC piping that fits into that coupler only slightly loosly.
Is my streamline darts meant to fit into that barrel snugly or loosly?

Can't help you with the NF, as I've never modded one. But, could you please reply to my PM in regards to your LS commission.
Thanks mate.

Re: The Questions Thread.
If your trying to coupler our Nf with 15mm PVC, then you need to get a 15mm couple (which you have) and then get some 15mm PVC piping (it should fit pretty tightly).
But your darts don't go directly into the PVC piping, you wil to nest some barrel material of your choice (hep20, brass, aluminum etc. It depends what darts you are using) into your PVC piping.
Hope that helped.

If you want to use 16mm conduit as your barrel, get a 16mm conduit coupler.

Thanks,
What size brass would i need to be able to nest into the 15mm PVC to create the best barrel?

Hey guys. Noobish question here. I just got a Supermaxx 1000 Larami Edition for a couple bucks at a local thrift store and realized after the purchase that it doesn't take Nerf darts. Or Buzz Bee darts or Lanard darts. What kind of darts DOES the 1000 take? If no one knows I'll probably stuff some PVC in the chambers and just convert it. Might do that anyway, but it's good to know where you're starting from.

I think the older blaster's had darts that were a bit larger OD - similar to the AT3K's. Your best bet is probably the re-barrel option mate.

@Obriel, I wouldn't know about what size brass to use as I've never used brass before. howver, your barrel material depends on your what kind of darts you plan on using.
There is a thread about it called, 'guide tobarrel materials'. It is a sticky-ed thread in the modifications section. (I would link you to it, but I'm on an iPod)
