    Mod Section Clean Up Empty Mod Section Clean Up

    Post  Psychosis Wed Jul 06, 2011 10:57 am

    While checking out the abundance of information within the mod section of the forum, I had a suggestion to propose to the admins.

    Perhaps to help clean up and for ease of searching. In the Mod forum, for specific weapon mods break it up into sub forums. I.E;

    Maverick Mods:
    Recon Mods:
    Vulcan Mods

    And for general all purpose mods;

    General Mods (all weapons):
    Cosmetic Mods:
    Future Mod Ideas:

    This is only a suggestion, and of course the structure could be changed to suit the admins specific ideal structure.

    I'm not proposing to move the pre-existing posts, that'd be far too gruelling and time consuming. But for future posts, I believe this would be ideal.

    Any feedback is always appreciated, and sorry if I've spoken out of place.

    Have you looked at the "Oz nerf modifications directory"? That probably brings it close enough to organised.

    Hey there, have you seen the mod directory?

    http://www.oznerf.com/t2207-the-oz-nerf-modification-directory

    This is what you're trying to say right?

    Thanks guys,

    I was aware of the directory, and found it invaluable for searching specific mods.

    I was just proposing a more generalised cleanup of that section, because it's a high traffic section. It's more than likely an unnecessary addition, though I'm just a little OCD when it comes to organization.

    Thanks for the reply nevertheless

    I kind of get what you're saying. The search box can also be dodgy sometimes.

    I don't really know how much more organised you want it. I mean, really, is it that hard to look up:

    Nerf Blaster's...

    Maverick...

    Mod etc
    Mod etc
    Mod etc

    SS has put in a crapload of time getting the directory to this level. I doubt you'll find much different on any other Nerf site...

    I don't really know how you propose to have general modifications, as each blaster is different. Removing the AR's from a Recon is completely different to a RFSG for example.

    Cheers,

    Ok clearly this thread has become a cause of controversy, this was never my intention. So please have it removed, I don't wish for any more drama.

    I never intended to discredit SS or his hard work, so if this has offended anybody. I am sorry for the confusion.

    I was merely trying to post and become an active member within this community. Clearly this thread was not a good virgin post. When I get some more experience under my belt, I will post something more note worthy.

    It really doesn't need it, mate. The directory is pretty decent, makes it quite easy to look up write-ups and stuff. Although, I'm not sure how often it gets updated.

    There are actually a fair few crappy threads that aren't needed, which could probably be deleted.

    You didn't discredit anyone, don't stress too much. But yeah, it doesn't really need organising or anything, with the directory.
