Lock + Loads (L+L) Group Order Empty Lock + Loads (L+L) Group Order

Post  Mozart Wed Jul 13, 2011 1:35 pm

    Hey guys,

This thread is for the group order of Lock + Loads from Merzlin in the US. At the moment I have a list, which is:

    -mirsho
    Oxymoron
    Matt.Chopper
    Lefty x2
Clunk (if needed for numbers, thanks man!)
    Mozart

The following names, I think, are the guys who are doing their own group order:

    2120
    Vavoom
    Genacon
    Bakabill

So, as it stands, I'm doing a group order for five including one for myself. I've already put a fair bit of work into this, so please don't mess me around. If you're on the list and have changed your mind, tell me asap. If you're not on the list and want one, please go check out Merzlin's thread about them.

Merzlin is on holiday currently, so we'll be working out prices as soon as he returns.

    Thanks,
    Cody

Good stuff man. I'm still in 100%. In fact, if the shipping isn't too crazy I'd probably grab two.

    Cool man.

I was just thinking and, I got two or three kilos worth of PVC from Singapore, it cost me $53 shipping. If I guess and say.. Sixty shipping for these? At six blasters, that's only an extra ten each. Then maybe.. Ten to fifteen shipping from me to you guys.

Complete guestemation, I have no clue as of yet, but tomorrow should yield some results.

Yeah, that's how I read it too. I'll get him to change it. I asked and he said that's not the case, as that would be selling them at less than cost. Something about thirty percent off shipping.. I can't remember, but no. They're sixty each.

As soon as we ascertain how many are being purchased, I'll start discussing discounts with him and get back to you all here with a total cost. (:

You know that you can count on me for one unit, but just to make up numbers mate.

If it works out that you need one more order to fulfill the group order, chalk me down. Providing the feedback from Custom's is agreeable.

Thread title is misleading, these are Lock + Loads, or L+L's, not Lock 'n' Loads, lol Lnl's...I did a double take when I saw the title... I was like who the shit has enough Lock n Loads that you could do a bulk order? I have one and they are rare haha

Perhaps fixing it could help with this confusion

Title fixed by AJ, cheers mate.

Having problems with customs, trying to sort it out. Because they're home made, they're not fitted with ARs. They're classed as soft air guns, bb guns. Cheers Lefty, I'll put you down.

    Thanks Clunk man, appreciate that!

    Thanks everyone,

Thats crap about the AR's. Arrgh i very much dislike customs, but thats because i'm an airsoft enthuiast, haha.

What about these new blasters claiming 100ft on television?

Its see through and does not resemble anything?

Just get him to fit a bright red coupler on the front, and mount a foam missile on it. A bright sticker of some kind, throw it in a box and done.

Nah man, it's home made and shoots something, they have to test it. I thought about sticking some ghetto ARs in it or doing something else silly, that I could just pull out before I send them out, but because they're home made. They need a certificate thing. Thinking the best bet would be to get him to stick an attachment on for megas, or rockets. They'll shoot like crap, so they'll think they're fine.

Another issue they may be concerned about is whether it's manufactured to a safety standard.

Hopefully they're not that intelligent to consider that...

You could just send a few streamlines/taggers with the gun. My Shotblast struggles to pass 60ft with them.

You're not customs. You do not make their rules.

They have to test it, it is the - law.

I can't just send different darts with it, it doesn't work like that. Thanks, but no more suggestions about how to try to fool them.

Cheers Clunk, I think they'd pass though, they look lime they're made well.

Mate it was just a suggestion. Do you really need to get so jumpy about it?

I know I'm not customs, I was simply saying that the L+L's wouldn't fire well with taggers and would then, hopefully, pass customs.

I don't know how you intended me to take that reply, I just hope it was just a misunderstanding on my part.

So, haven't heard back from Merzlin in a while. Doesn't look like anything's been happening, but it could be he just hasn't been on his email or here in a while. Anyway, not sure if this is going to go through anymore.

Big problem with importing them, because of being homemade. Sorry guys, will keep you all updated on anything new.

    Hey guys,

There's no chance of getting a certificate for these, just isn't going to happen. If we install temporary ARs, they'll still need to be tested and may not pass. Merzlin says a friend of his got past this sending +bows to Singapore by disassembling them and saying they were furniture pieces, and hasn't had a problem since.

Let me know what you all think and we'll go from there.

Not necessarily, but at this point, it looks like we'd have to want a couple over here pretty badly to go ahead with it. The problem with saying they're furniture brackets, in my opinion, is that half of the pieces look like the handle of a gun. Trigger, etc.

Could the parts just be sent as parts for toys and misc items?
Something along those lines, as then it wouldn't be a lie (as customs aren't stupid) and then we the people buying the parts just put them together ourselves?

Or even just split the parts into 2 different shipments, one box has a few bits that don't look like they really go together and another box that has the other parts. Because then all the box has is bits and pieces that don't really do anything.

These are just a few ideas i had.

Good ideas, friend, I have had similar. It just isn't plausible, unfortunately. Either going to cost too much or get caught up in customs.

Sorry guys, looks like it's a bust. Merzlin has informed me there isn't a lot of love from police around his area with Nerf. It's just not going to happen, sorry.
