Jumped on google to get some ideas so I could decide what to go with.
Nothing too fancy but It had to have a nice amount of space including roof height, was strong and durable and could sit outside undercover withstanding the elements.
It's not finished yet but it's not that far off.
Built the base out of some pine, so it's raised off the ground away from moisture and water. Basic dimension 800x600x475 enough for Ajax who's a Jack Russel (what a dud lol)
Tacked together the frame today using 42mm pine so it's standing upright, straight and strong. Thought I'd make him a window and just cover it with fly screen or mesh.
Also pondering wether to double layer the inside and add insulation or if that's ovekill IDK?
Need to get the front/back and side panels made up so off to Bunnings in the next couple of days. Also to get the angle of the roof and to make the supporting rafters.
One side will be fixed and the other will be on a hinge just incase we need to air it out or change his blanket etc...
Painted up prolly white on the walls and a nice brown/red for the roof maybe?
Oh yeah I am by no means a woodworker but the interest just rekindled that memory that I loved woodwork back in high school, those days were the best!
