Terra Nova handguns...?
So I'm not sure if any of you watched that new show called Terra Nova, but if you did, you may or may not have noticed that their handguns looked suspiciously a lot like NiteFinders painted black and with a little cosmetics.
So thoughts on the matter, anyone?

Exactly... some of the other "prop weaponry" looks like reconfigured Longshot and recon hybrids

Man, I waited and looked forward to that show for ages....
Only to find that it fully sucked.

Re: Terra Nova handguns...?
Actually,
We bought the DVD set for the first series of "V" (the new one, not the ggaaayy as hell 80's one), and that was really cool.
Does anyone know if the second series is available, we can't find it anywhere?
I've seen mention of the storyline on the net, but no disk set anywhere.

Geez... we've only had one episode, give it a chance it needs to develop characters first
Were you disappointed with "Falling Skies" or SGU as well?

No, not really.
Just Terra Nova.
By the way,
Does anyone know if the second series of "V" is available, and where to get it?

The second season of V is released on R1 DVD October 18, you can get it from Amazon.
It's weird to think Terra Nova films about 25 minutes from my house

Re: Terra Nova handguns...?
R1 is a region 1 DVD. Which is the USA region, it will play in any region free dvd player which is actually most of them. We are, I believe, region 2. Though we might be 3. I only have memorized the bluray ones.

Re: Terra Nova handguns...?
Yeah R1 is region one.. and as Joey said most players can be made multi-region (usually the cheaper the player the more chance it's region free capable - Australia is R4, UK R2 and US R1). I did an oz search and it's out here October 23 anyway on bluray and dvd
Terra Nova films near Robina ... weird I know.

Dunno' how many of those Nerf props still fire foam but the cast should put up a good fight...

Haha, I live in Palm Beach, not far away from Robina at all.
Maybe a Nerf war challenge is in order? Haha.

Small world, I was involved in some of the maintenance work when they did the construction for a shopping centre at Robina in the mid 90's... haha
Cheers,

Nothing much else to add, except to ask why Keats is using my avatar.
I know I haven't logged on in a while, but come on.

Haha. Loosen up! It just shows you guys have common interests. Don't let a brother down over just having the same avatar :P. Keats probably joined when you've been inactive so he didnt' see the avatar. No need to get riled up =).
Nerf Blasters are cheap props I guess. Just put it in a bucket of black paint and BAM you've got yourself a movie prop. If I made movie props like that though, I would probably add weight in the blasters so the actors get a better feeling for it.

That's the thing though, I made that avatar myself - I resized a screenshot and added the text in Photoshop.
I don't want to be a douche about it, but it's the principle of the thing.
Anyway, back to Terra Nova - I quite like the modded Recons they use.
I might try making my own version with the 2 gutted Recons I have at home.

Re: Terra Nova handguns...?
Thought you guys who don't follow my blog or facebook would be interested in this, so posting it here...
Was watching "Terra Nova" this morning and took this screenshot:
You can clearly see the Nerf barrel extension, not even cut to make it look different. This is the side of the time travel gate they used to get to Terra Nova.
